It’s called Wuxia. It refers to a type of story, but in film, it can also refer to the style of fighting. It’s highly choreographed like a dance. Michelle Yeoh, featured in this movie, was originally a ballet dancer, so she learned martial arts through memorizing the choreography.
It didn't try to do too much. It had a rather simple premise and executed it well. Adding in connectuons to other movies or the damn multiverse makes it way harder to make the movie itself good

This honestly reminds me of *Avatar: The Last Airbender.* Avatar is based off of asian cultures, and also the way Ying Li controls the air. Such a loving homage to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Shang Chi is such an underrated masterpiece of a film.
this was the last great movie marvel made in my opinion. I didnt think any movie could top crouching tiger hidden dragon. What a beautiful battle.
That fight scene is a thing of beauty
This fight is more like a choreography dance, it's unique and very Asian thing. Love it ❤
Sang chi has so good fighting skill because of his mother
The moment he grabs her with the ring chain and they look each other in the eyes, that's when it stops being a fight and becomes a dance.
1:38... Beauty of the scene is ❤
2:44 It was at that moment that Wenwu knew... he fcked up.

Shang Chi is actually a rom-com/action movie. Wen Wu isn't really a villain; he just loves his wife so much that he cannot move on with her death.
Now that’s Airbending!
Bro rizzed her up mid fight when he grabbed her arm with those rings
The most beautiful fighting scene ever ❤❤❤
She is not fighting him .. she is assessing him whether he is worthy of her love ❤️
Dude had to fell inlove with the forest lady instead of going to therapy
probably the best dance scene I've ever seen.
Sis airbended him 😂
I never get tired of watching this scene between the father and the mother when they first met.
So, a classic case of 'love at first fight '...
I knew that was the direction this fight was taking🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That was beautiful 🤩
Loved this scene.
Tries to kill her... "That's how I met your father" lol. Wenwu has serious rizz.
I’m convinced the 10 rings are Kangs
I don't understand how she defeated Wenwu with 10 rings, but got killed fighting those minions
She gave up her powers to be with him
she have powers only in ta lo
She didn't have her powers anymore, she was vulnerable just like Wenwu without his Rings
1. She had no powers that time
2. No human can beat that many dudes in a fight with just their bare hands
She only have powers in her pocket dimension ta lo
that ring is older than the earth
their love language are sure physical attack and aesthetic movement
😂😂😂😂
This is exactly what I wanted to see from the Netflix ATLA
Sangchi :"father you are a warlord and undefeated for thousands of year, how you meet mother again?"
Wenwu :" she kicked my ass so hard that make me falling in love"

I think the movie misses a scene where the Mandarin would forgo the Rings and just fight with his sheer experience from centuries of fighting.
