If Thor had a nickel for every time his brother dies as part of a plot to take over Asgard he would have two nickles which isn't a lot but it is weird it happened twice.
14:15 when it comes to Loki’s failed attack, I always figured it was because that was literally all he had at his disposal. He knew what he was up against, she had spent time with the mad titan, he knew how big of a danger he was in and he also aware that he wasn’t going to be able to talk his way out of it. He had no more cards left to play so desperate stabbed with a knife was all he had left.
I read a theory that Loki knew about Thanos desiring balance in all things, so his attempt on Thanos was actually to put a target on himself to *maybe* spare Thor. Not sure how I feel about it, but I thought it was interesting enough to share.
Never seen Invincible, but that’s almost certainly Omni Man by that description. The timing would be perfect, he’s a big meme and super popular, and it looks to me like he’s supposed to be some big moral grey area, I’d be shocked if it was somebody else.
Tom Hiddleston is the only reason I don't completely dislike MCU Loki, also fuck yeah TFEW!! I love that podcast it's great! I 100% recommend giving it a chance
So the scene where loki tries to stab thanos. On the surface it might seem dumb, but as you watch infinity war, you see not a lot of things can actually hurt thanos. She shrugs off most blows easily, but when gamora attacks him, she does so with a sharp weapon, (when she stabs him its an illusion, but she knows thanos well so it's safe to assume that could have killed him). Later thanos takes a serious injury from an axe, and then dies from that axe in the next movie. Thanos' only weakness is sharp objects, and loki knew this was the only thing he could exploit, even if the chances of failure were high.

I mean, I'm a sentient controller that vibrates Morse code and sends it through a "Morse, Yiddish, and Braile Universal Translation Telecommunicator" to communicate. Wish there was some way to shorten that, though.
I like the headcanon that Loki sacrificed himself so that Thanos wouldn`t kill "second half" a.k.a. Thor. It`s a bit of a stretch but works for the moment.
I think it was, more Loki knew better than anyone how strong Thanos is as he as the most exposure to him let alone with the power stone as well as that Loki was the weakest fighter still alive in that room out of the main characters thor, hulk and a few others. he knew that they might stand chance against the order alone but not with Thanos there if he had struck true Thanos is dead and only the order is left who Loki can probably distract enough foe the others to find a second wind and if he finds him and thor are basically dead anyway as Thanos always intended to kill him and thor was too big a threat to be left alive.
I'm still holding out for a DnD Allignment for Walter White and Jesse Pinkmen. I've just finished marathoning Breaking Bad last night and today I'm gonna watch El Camino. I know this is unrelated to Loki and MCU, but I just wanted to talk about it before I explode.
Actually don't worry about making a part two. I believe the Loki you are talking about in this video is the main timeline Loki while the one in the TV show is one from an alternate timeline. So I think they are different characters.
11:37 I would say Chaotic Good here. Loki is actually trying to help, the best way he knows how. By being a doubble-agent, while having fun with it in the prosess. (At least, that's my head-cannon.)
The Loki character ended up growing on me because of the slow climb up to CG. There were a few moments where I thought "He probably wouldn't have done that." But then they had plenty of slips.
Funny thing is that in norse mythology Laufey is the mother of Loki, the name means slender, or needle, so the King of the frost giants in the MCU is called Needle...
I would love the original first, he's way more interesting in that one Which is understandable, borthehood had too many characters to devote any more time to Mustang
I do sort of think Loki´s end was a Coulson moment. A poorly written one but a scene designed to galvanize the hero and as you said add a bit of actual threat to the equation. But as for a in universe explanation, i guess one could go with that Loki knew he was out of options and that Thor was in no state to pick up the slack. So he did what he could do... Provide a rallying point.
So the death washim trying a last ditch effort to not only save thor but kill or injure thanos. It was an act of desperation that he never really thought would win but hed rather die fighting than become a snake again. It shows how he truly did change for the better
great video also just watched the vod of session 11 on twitch of the explorers of the heart I hope lady nenaki is feeling better by the next session you guys really make the math homework bearable have a great day
My prediction before even starting this video is “chaotic neutral” but that also applies for how I view Mythological Loki (the little I know about him from OSP videos) Edit: he rides the line between chaotic neutral and good…I’m half right
Ok so we know it's rough age and it's non marvel. We also know it can't be anyone you already did a video one. Now the physique is a bit tricky since depending on the era and series alot of heros are really similar (look at older animated batman and superman) but if I had to take a guess it's probably a character from invincible like omniman since it's a new series and is technically the oldest one you could chose because of spoilers
12:42 if he became too predictable then that wouldn't really be Chaotic, would it? More like lawful (his own brand of lawful, following his rule to keep betraying Thor)
Thanos was going to kill Loki either way or/and Thor ,but he wanted the gem first , Loki knew Thanos would respect his attempt maybe leaving Thor alive to live with his grief ,plus get to defy authority one more time ... Choatic good
He seems chaotic neutral to me overall, because I can't imagine trusting him, but at the same time he's got more humanity to him partially because he comes across as ambiguous rather than clearly good or evil. The fact that he likes to play tricks is also a decent trait as it serves him well for entertaining the audience. I'm fine with this character's role, whether redeemed or deliberately ambiguous.
Here’s a suggestion could you do a d and d alignment video on Crona or Stein from Soul Eater I think there both interesting characters and I think they could make for a very good video
As it stands . . . I'm not 100% sure if it was actually Loki Prime who died in Infinity War. Given how many times he ducks in and out of the shadows in that scene, I feel it is entirely possible that the variant Loki took his place.
Was it loki making the sceptre make the avengers act aggressive? I always thought the sceptre had mind altering effects inheritly, that even affected loki to act even more evil and cruel than usual.
Personally, I think Loki's death is well-done, and there's a lot more going on under the surface than you might think. There's a whole game of cat-and-mouse in the moments before Loki strikes: 1) Loki knows Thanos is never going to trust him again and will kill him and Thor here and now. His only chance for both to survive is a surprise attack. He tries to ingratiate himself as a distraction in order to manage that attack of desperation. He thinks this might work because Thanos will likely play along to see what he's going to do. 2) Thanos *is* going to kill Loki. He knows Loki knows this. He *does* play along in order to see what he's going to do, but expects Loki to betray him at the first possible moment. 3) Loki *knows* Thanos probably expects Loki to betray him. You can see this on Loki's face the moment before he strikes. He's sad, knowing he's likely going to die. But the _slight_ possibility that Thanos is not expecting it, or will mistime his self-defence, is the only chance Loki has as getting himself and Thor out of this alive. Loki takes that chance and strikes. 4) Thanos was *in fact* expecting Loki's betrayal. He was never in an danger, having prepared to use the Infinity stone *he just acquired from Loki* to paralyse him. He only gave Loki the breathing room to strike in order to snatch away hope the moment it reared its head, cementing both his overwhelming power and intelligence. Loki never had a chance, Thanos only let him think he did. Then Thanos kills him to punctuate this point to both Loki and to Thor. 5) Thanos destroys the ship, wanting to give Thor a slow, painful death in the vaccum of space as he mourns his brother and looks into the face of unbeatable odds. It's only by pure luck that he's saved by the Guardians. It's all for the purpose of showing just how powerful Thanos is, yes, but Loki isn't being stupid; on the contrary, he's worked out the (seeming) only way for both him and Thor to survive in the situation, and acts upon it. He _might_ have been able to survive at Thor's expense by sneaking away, but Loki has grown to really care for Thor and is willing to put himself into a situation of almost certain death in order to get the slim chance to save his brother from actual certain death. Certain death that was only prevented by pure happenstance that *no one* could have predicted.
I want to say Captain America might be the next video based on your hints, tho I it’d be a fun twist for you to do a 180 and reveal you cosplayed as beer belly Thor 😂
First film: Loki Dies. Second film: Loki steals the Tessaract. Third film: Loki Dies. Fourth film: Loki steals the Tessaract. Fifth film: Loki Dies. Sixth film: Loki steals the Tessaract. TV Show: Loki dies, and Loki steals the Tessaract.
I'm gonna be honest... I actually DON'T see Loki as smarter than his death scene. Loki CAN be smart, but he frequently makes stupid decisions and huge tactical blunders due to being short-sighted and emotional. As Tony's "Not a great plan." line said succinctly, Loki is the God of: "I am a genius! Oh NO!!"
I still do not believe Loki was killed in Infinity War. Nobody is convincing me that Loki didn't get the hell out of Dodge right after the "We have a Hulk" moment and its only a solid illusion or whatever that steps out of the shadows afterwards and gets killed.
