  • Since tumblers are curved and tapered, straight text tends to curve upwards at the ends when you apply it. In this video I show you how to lay out text so it wraps around the tumbler straight.

    Can you please make a templet for the 20 and 30oz tumbers? This would be a huge help for a lot of people. Especially us who have no idea how to do it.

    How would this work with a phrase? I just about ripped my hair out peeling vinyl off a tumbler over & over again yesterday, only just seeing this video today. It was a 4 lined phrase; how would that work?

    Troy, if I was going to use this same idea for a coffee mug, can I just resize the template for the height of the mug?

    As long as I'm using regular vinyl...the dollar tree contact paper works for me. if it is thicker or glitter ... can't.

    Will this work on different brands of tumblers, I assume?

      Maris A. We have used about 3-4 different brands of 16 oz tumblers and they all appear to be the same size, same lids are interchangeable, etc.

    How would I go about doing this with an image that has a straight line bottom?

    • @TroyTube
      @TroyTube  9 лет назад

      +Lindsay Penfield I think that would be a lot more difficult to do and make it look right, I would think. And you'd probably have to create it in Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator. The method I show really just allows you to approximate the curve and get it to look fairly straight for longer words.
