Usually the low budget films are not this good. Andy Devine is the best.

Actually the star of this film is the Park itself, shown at a time before the hordes of tourists changed it forever; open-top touring busses driven by “gear-jammers”, Inspiration and Artist’s Points with their spectacular views of the Falls, campfire activities - who cares if the film takes liberty with a geyser and a cave behind the Falls?!
For someone who spent three glorious summers working there as a young man, I love watching this movie once or twice a year.

@@paulb.pixton4684 I didn't even think of it that way, about the park being the star. I have never been able to go myself. How lucky you were to spend three summers working there.

Wow - a dapper, mustachioed "Skipper", some 30 years before Gilligan's Island...
I never knew he was around in the 30's.
Thanks for showcasing these wonderful old films!

This was Alan Hale Sr, the "Skipper's" father.

The opening sean is the Teatons not Yellowstone.
    That's Jenny lake it's beautiful!!!
😂He let her keep the flowers, but said nothing about littering! 🤷🏻‍♂️
😂If you want to go there you better have a reservation s long time in advance now!!!
    It's practically Wilderness 😁

Tim Billings, Teatons means two tits.

@@auletjohnast03638 Tim isn't the greatest at spelling, as you can see. I've never seen anyone spell "scene" as "sean".
Anyway, he meant "Teton", a la Grand Teton. Some refer to the area as "the Tetons".

Hmmm I spent a few minutes Google trying to find "Old Bess" that pesky volcano featured here...no luck...it this a cinematic invention...anybody?

It is purely fictionalized. The movie depicts geothermal features in quite an unrealistic way. Great fun though!
