Good job & great video. One hint for future work with adhesive: use 70% rub alcohol (full strength) to clean surfaces for adhesion. The glass cleaner will not remove all of the oils that the alcohol will. And don't be tempted to use the 90% alcohol, it can damage paint. Best of luck & tight lines.
used this technique on a few other projects helped a lot. thanks for the feedback and if you arent already consider subbing to the channel. we have a lot more mod videos coming out here soon.
This looks pretty slick. The was a great idea to make the template with painter tape. I just pulled the trigger and got the 2019 Outback. I'm not sure if I'm going to put a deck mat on it yet.
That's a steal. I would have snatched that up if I saw it. I was trying to hold out, but then I found out they offer 0% finance. Then it was a no brainer for me.
This looks great. Good job! I have a wilderness thresher and the non-skid pattern that comes on the kayak floor ends on the side but there’s no corner it angles up. I don’t see your boat having any of that so you probably didn’t have to cut it on an angle. Does this dek get too hot to walk on barefoot?? Any issues with water or debris getting into grooves?
Doug Clark thanks brotha! I hope it works out cool for ya! If you haven’t already sub. I did a fish finder and some other major upgrades. How do you like the ATAK140?
@@SlotCityFishing I love my ATAK. Works great for the inshore and freshwater stuff I do. That Hobie sure is nice! Always got my eyes peeled for a good sale on one.
SlotCityFishing honestly man your good at talking with the camera. You do not need the music when giving instructions. Love the channel and appreciate the tips. When your not speaking music is ok.
That was great, just what I was looking for. THX
Awesome man glad you enjoyed it!
How well did the adhesive hold up?
Still goin strong
How did it stand up to wear
Great man I looked like it did new when I sold it
Thanks for the vid, exactly what I was looking for. No kits exist for the Hobie Passport 10.5
Nice did you end up installing it?
What is the thickness of the mat u used? 6mm?
I don’t remember sorry.
