The Garden (Zahrada) 1/5 - The Animal Lover (Milovník zvířat) (1974) (English subtitles)

The introduction to Břetislav Pojar's series "The Garden" based on the book of the same title by Jiří Trnka. It is a story about an old and lonely man who, in order to cheer himself, buys a few small animals. However, the animals grow up to be a whale and two elephants. The kitten changes into a full-grown tomcat. The old man, however, does not live to see that. He dies and the garden he bought for the animals wastes away and, though there grows up a town around it, nobody knows that there is a garden there.
