A hat-trick of house music gold in The Lab is brought to a close by the one and only Art Department. Jonny White and Kenny Glasgow’s debut on MixmagTV has been a long time coming as over the years we’ve watched them build up a reputation as one of the most in demand duos on the planet. Regular features on Crosstown Rebels and their own iconic label No.19, they’ve also been responsible for releasing records from the likes of Soul Clap, Maceo Plex and Jimmy Edgar.

WOW! Years ago, When I was new to the house music world and intrigued by what I called, 'the places that play that music you don't hear on the radio' (teehee), I had to investigate! And it was then that I discovered KENNY GLASGOW playing at an afterhours in Toronto, On, Canada! He was THE person who opened me up to the whole other world of beloved UNDERGROUND House Music with a unique and positively sick sound, and well, guess that's what they call enlightenment! ;) Bless you Kenny! Happy to see him here! xo

These guys remind me a lot like Ron Trent & Chez Damiers Prescription sound. Very deep and a sound not for everyone. They can experiment and go off track!! Metro Area, Francois K, Motor City Drum Ensamble...On Journey!!

To elbowz... if you really only dig techhouse, why bother going out at all? seems you can only satisfy yourself. hope that doesn't spread to other areas of your life. the heart, btw, is subtle. it won't smack you upside the head like some of that new ish. It is interesting how world proves itself to be one constant, an constant of changing:
back in the day a professional dj used to be one individual who he/she would part himself/herself from the bunch, rather natural gift, skill-something, based on sooooo many "performances" i've been seeing from Professional DJ's i think the constant change has hit its peak where; professional dj simply means now days, that's how you work and pay bills, not necessarily defines the skill by any means.
sorry Mixmag to be that one dude speaking not so great of it, me i dont live out of mixing and i can from my bedroom play at much more engaging connecting Deep Tech set. I just don't see any heart on this video. (my mixcloud is linked to my G+ account if curious of my claim)

Disculpen mi ignorancia, pero quisiera saber porque uno gira y gira esas cosas que no sé qué nombre tienen. Y el otro también va haciendo lo mismo. Lo hacen en serio para que algo en la música varíe o por finta hasta realizar el cambio de verdad. No se molesten eruditos, quiero saber. Gracias.
+Mankata lo que ellos giran recibe el nombre de big jog, y lo hacen para "encajar" las canciones.
Hay veces uno cree que ciertos movimientos no hacen nada, ya que vemos el movimiento pero no escuchamos el cambio del sonido , pero en realidad los buenos djs no hacen ningun movimiento en falso , solo que hay ciertas cosas que no generan el sonido al instante si no que son para ajustar la proxima mezcla o cosas similares.
+Mankata es para empalmar los bajos de los tracks, no se escucha porque suena en los auriculares, saludos :D

i don't gt it. How can you be a professional DJ and put all the audio sources in the red ?
does it really matter?
The LMS being used at The Lab might have a way of cancelling out source distortion. But I agree, it takes about 2 seconds to check your levels and correct them so they aren't constantly punching the red.
Mattlethew The channels are reaching max output but the master out isn't in the red. I'm sure there's a reason they're playing at those levels. Perhaps because they're recording it or something.
Mattlethew Doesn't make a difference when the system is setup correctly. You can tap into the red without the slightest amount of distortion on those.
Michael Kowalczyk that happens because in the system there's a limiter integrated.. but it is still not recomendable..
