I went to my first eye exam when it was the 1 or 2, man those were some of the hardest decision lucky my eye examiner gave me the option of they look the same so. I’m getting my first pair of glasses on Tuesday and I’m surprisingly eager to get the.
I love going to my optometrist! :) So relaxing and so helpful with my dry eye situation.
I remember first going to the eye doctor when I was in the third grade to get glasses...this was either in 2007 or 2008. I have always had amazing eye doctors, and they always make me feel right at home. I also love this guy’s accent, sounds southern to me.

my best friend asked me about it when I turned it on to sleep better. she completely understood when I told her that it calms me down,distracts me from my stress due to the continuous questions & that I am also interested in the eye facts 😂
haha. i figured their were other people that had that "tingly feeling" watching this video. like when the slit lamp clicks. also love watching people get their hair cut, and the scissors and comb click together. used to love watching router workshop for that too haha. weird. glad to know that theirs something to call it now. I didn't realize this until I recently almost went blind because I went to the wrong type of eye doctor when I had a serious eye disease. Optometrists are great if you need glasses or contact lenses. But if you have a medical problem such as diabetes, macular degeneration, or glaucoma or have a serious problem with your eyes or vision that you don't think is from your glasses you need to go to an Ophthalmologist, who are medical doctors and eye surgeons.
Where I live,the only reason you ever go to an optometrist is to find the right glasses&that is it. no one would ever think to go there if it’s about the eyes themselves o-o the store itself is usually full with glasses too like a regular „I sell stuff“ store rather than an office. Do they look more similar in other countries?
Wish he was here in Wisconsin...very easy going and nice. Would feel very comfortable bring examined by him to get a good prescription. Great video.

Thank you for posting this video. I have an appointment with an optometrist on Monday for the first time since 1994. I was told then that I was a little nearsighted but not enough for glasses yet. My eyesight has gotten worse since then and I've been having trouble seeing. I am nervous that this doctor will also say that I'm not ready for glasses yet. But I know I am ready for some sort of vision correction as I am constantly squinting to see distant objects and small print.

I took a visual acuity test on my iPad, where I stand 10 feet away from the iPad screen and test each eye separately, twice and both times it told me that I am 20/200 in both eyes. I'm not sure what it's going to be at the optometrist.

Could an oculus rift or something similar be used to examine eyes? It would be great if you could do like a zoom meeting with your opthomotrist and he/she can observe your eyes in the oculus? For people living in remote places

@roquefortfiles I know how you feel. that is the spot that triggers it for me too. I used to be almost ashamed of the "feeling" because no one else knew what I was talking about. I even began to avoid it. But then I just gave in, because I realized why should I miss out on this just because others don't get it.

@roquefortfiles It's a phenomenon called AMSR Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. Do some research on youtube but theres tonnes of video to trigger that zoned out tingly feeling.
So why when I took my eye exam did the doctor not only have me read a traditional snellen chart, but also put my face up to a small box that also contained letters, etc.? Sorry for the poor description of the "small box" but it had the same type of lines as the traditional chart. Anyone know??
When I went I was crying because I was scared of eye drops And I ended up getting glasses since my left eye is bad

Picking eye doctors is tough. There are all natural eye strengthening programs that have incredible results, and will correct your eyes 10 fold. My favorite is Wivits 2020. A few of my family members had incredible results with it.
