I think this needs a bit of polishing to prevent the powder from being blasted out when the mouth closes. Also, make it so that the dispensing of powder slows down when the maximum weight is almost reached so that it doesn't overshoot the target. It may not seem like much to have 1 gram too much. But when you make 1000 batches, that means you lose a whole KG of material. Now add a machine that replaces the full bottle with an empty one and you have a filling station :D

This is called a Derivative behavior :D ..
yes he can upgrade it to a PD or PID controller instead of the simple on/off..
