Thank you adopting foster children! Having been in foster care from 7-18 it’s hard to see a lot of ppl choose international adoption over our foster system. I can see how truly loved those 5 are and they are so blessed to have wonderful parents. Thank you! I love your channel.
Thank you so much. 😊. We feel very blessed to be able to adopt and raise them, they are amazing! I can’t even imagine what you and others have had to go through. We struggled with foster until we started fostering. So glad we chose to foster!😁❤️
Awe, thank you!!! We thank God each and everyday. Never would of dreamed it to be so wonderful!!! It still comes with some struggles but so worth it!!! Thanks, Fafa!🤗❤️
Thanks for sharing your story. I love that you acknowledge that their heartbreak and yours was held and seen by the Father and used for your good. My family of 3 hopes to begin fostering in 2022.
Hi Amanda Nalley, I’m so sorry some how I missed your comment. That’s so awesome, fostering was one of the best decisions we made and can’t imagine life with out our five kids now! Love hearing when others take a step of faith to start adopting!!! 🤗❤️.
Are all your kids biological siblings, then? I’m sitting here crying through this video. I love your devotion to God’s calling on your life and commitment to your kids. Thanks for sharing!
Kassandra, thank you! It’s crazy to think about all we have gone through but in the end it was so worth it, to be where we are today and have five amazing kids. ❤️🙌
Britt L thank you!! We think it’s pretty awesome that we get to be their parents. Always wanted that large family, just never thought it would really happen. Yes, all the kids are biological siblings.❤️
Jenna Proctor yes, the biological mother decided to parent the child. It was super hard on us, but now we are so glad she did because we wouldn’t be where we are today if the adoption would of taken place. We got our large family our hearts desires so badly for. We thank God everyday for how everything worked out. 🤗❤️
@7:49 ~ I’m sorry but that sounds like crud. We love them and they’re great, but… we want to send them away? If everything is perfect then they wouldn’t be looking for different kids. The truth is something was wrong. Maybe they could handle the kids, maybe the number is just too many, or a countless amount of other possibilities. But it’s just a huge pet peeve of mine when people use God for every excuse. When a great God-fearing family is viciously murdered in their home, is that something God specifically had his hand in? I see God kind of like a parent to earth. Sometimes he controls what his children do to one extent or another, but often the child is just doing what it wants to do. Meaning sometimes good things happen and sometimes bad things happen. Do you want to turn the bed into the good. Do you want to set yourself up for good. But it doesn’t mean God is controlling all of it. But I think it’s probably easier for people to say it was God‘s plan then except how coincidences happen. Did God specifically want Gabriel Fernandez him to be in the family he was in and live a horrible life filled with horrible abuse and torture until his death at eight years old? Or did it just happen? Somethings just happen. So like I said, God may control certain events in our lives on a regular basis, but he surely doesn’t control all of them. I don’t personally object to telling your kids that they were born to be part of the (Black) family but for some reason God one of them to take a longer path, because I feel like it’s a simplistic way to make a kid feel wanted. But I feel when a kid becomes an adult that they need to use more logic. Not everything to be explained through proven methods like logic and such, but virtually everything down. Anyways, I’m not writing that comment to be mean or hateful. I think it’s obvious that I’m not but just in case someone automatically assumes that I want to state that’s not true. I also won’t be continually commenting on your other videos with like minded comments, because obviously there’s no reason to. There’s probably no reason to put this comment either, but I felt the need to. At first it was just about the other family but then I heard you tell your kids that they were born to be your kids and you just don’t know why God wanted them to take a longer path. I’ll admit that I do not have kids yet. And I think there is the best way to teach your kids about things that are true in life, and then there’s probably the more pleasant way which is also the easier way. But I enjoy watching a lot of videos on fostering and adoption. I go through phases where I Watch different categories of RUclips videos for several months on end. Example of those categories are People who document their life who sail around the world on a sailboat, Foster and adoption families, truck driving related videos, and other general documentaries, and there’s other categories to that I just can’t remember off the top of my head. Oh, another category is alternate lifestyle living like living off the grid or in a camper or a small home etc. So I’ll probably watch more videos from your family but I usually don’t make a comment on those videos. And if I was you and making these videos it’s very possible I would be somewhat annoyed at people critiquing my beliefs a lot. More so if I felt they weren’t genuine or didn’t have logic behind him, but just from a pure emotional side I may get annoyed of people disagreeing with me and telling me about it even if they were right. So I won’t be making a habit of commenting on your videos disagreeing with you.
I'm just so glad you commented and I hope you will do so again!! Seriously! This is why we do what we do, we want to reach out to others, even if they don't believe exactly the way we believe. I'm so grateful for your honestly. I know that sometimes it's hard to understand when bad things happen, especially when we believe in an All-Powerful God. We walk that very thin line with the kiddos. We do not believe or profess for a moment that God wanted their biological mother to fail. It breaks my heart to think about. I agree that we live in a world that is imperfect and that means that until the end, we will battle the bad things. I also believe that God positioned us to be our children's parents. I don't believe they were made for us, we were made for them. We tell them that they were born to be Blacks because we want them to know that God has been with them every step of the way. On a side note, I like to tell them that I picked them. ❤️ The "longer path" comes from the story of Lazarus in the Bible (John 11). I love that story because it helped me through the many years of infertility and failed adoptions. In any case, I'm so glad you're here with us and I'll hope you'll stop in to say "hi" from time to time. Jared and the kids love watching Sailing Zatara and Sailing LaVagabonde (I hope I spelled those right). We also watch Kara and Nate (they are actually our inspiration for this channel) and The Moore the Merrier. If you're interested in more foster families our BFFs Happy Hoppe are chronicling their journey too. I hope you are well and please stay in touch!

What a touching story. God works in miracle way. Be blessed The Black Family.❤

Precious babies. Very happy they got to stay together. Glad their mom chose best for them if she was alive.
Yes we are too!🙌👍🤗❤️

What a beautiful channel! You are an inspiration!
Awe, thank you!🤗❤️
Merry belated Christmas Black family! BTW, your little boy is the spitting image of Jared (how did I not see that earlier?).
Lol! We hear that all the time! So funny! Happy New Year Mel! ❤️
So touching 😭😭
Awe, thank you!!!❤️
Love your story! Are all of your kiddos bio siblings, too?
Britt L thank you!! We think it’s pretty awesome that we get to be their parents. Always wanted that large family, just never thought it would really happen. Yes, all the kids are biological siblings.❤️
❤
Did the bio mom decide to keep the baby you were planning to adopt?
Jenna Proctor yes, the biological mother decided to parent the child. I think I'm in love
Thank you! 🤗❤️
Hi Alyssa
Hi Sofia, I will let Alyssa know you said hi!🤗❤️
Sorry but this one was pretty cringe. Especially when you made the kids say we were born to be blacks. Give me a break.
Hi fantasma, I’m sorry you feel that way. Our goal is to tell our story and encourage others that may be fostering or adopting.
