1 win away from 6th and a Europa league spot. If we finish the season 6th, that is a huge achievement after the season and injuries we have had. It’s better to win ugly than not win at all. I just wish we had options to take Longstaff out of the starting 11, and perhaps Willock and Murphy need a rest break to get fully fit and running on all cylinders, because we all know they are both good, which is what makes it even more frustrating to see them struggle.

Putting things into perspective for a moment, we are 1 point away from 6th basically playing our B team for huge parts of the season. I think if any of the teams around us had the exact same injury problems they would be in the bottom half worrying about relegation.

Important thing in the end we ground a result out when we werent at our best. Thats the mark of a team playing as a team. Left was much better when Anderson came on Hall played better when he came on same was true v everton in reverse when hall and anderson came off. Right was poor but improved once left was sorted and barnes came on and gordon went to the right. Even Longstaff seemed to pick up a bit when gordon went to the right. If we want to be an elite team then we need to grind out a result when playing badly and put the ball in the net when the chance comes and punish the opposite if they arent clinical enough. Thats what we did today.

There was nowt wrong with Schar's goal in my opinion, it was a push by Dan but he didn't stop Bassey doing anything. I'll be looking at ref watch on Sky on Monday & I suspect Dermot Gallagher will say the decision was harsh. Referee's really need to be able to make decisions without feeling obliged to change their mind because VAR recommend going to the monitor. Dan knocking Bassey over changed nowt so let the game go on.

Spot on with everything Paul - Fulham for sure came out of the traps but we managed to hold them - it was bizarre how many ricochets landed at their feet 🤣 but I knew it would turn round - and it sure did. Rotating Willock and Anderson works just a shame that Gordon missed the Everton game as the second half subs did not have the impact like they did vs West Ham and today at Fulham...fantastic team effort.
Just wish Isak had scored from that worldy pass from Longstaff...that would have shut a few people up. Agree - Murphy went strangely missing today, as did Isak, but Sean was much more influential...agree that Hall got better as the game went on and Krafth solid...everyone else was class...😁

Paul, spot on re it being a dreadful first half, having players ( Murphy, Longstaff and Willock) playing dreadfully doesn’t help, however 2nd half we coped and created some decent chances, I have to disagree re Schars goal, the ball was past Burn and Bassey before contact was made,
Last point, Dan Burn since moving inside and being made captain has been absolutely brilliant, he looks a proper defender at centre half 👍

Without that goal from Bruno G, we were simply nothing today. Defense was ok but we couldn't just rely on it. Although Longstaff had better game, he was still not enough, and needs to go; but the worse is not him; how shameful Jacob Murphy was today. Did he know he was about to be sub off then kick the ball like that in cornerkick??? I truly believe so. He needs to look himself up how terrible he got today. Yeah the victory is great but I am still not happy.
Btw, 7 points out of 9 is still ok although Dummett cost us 2 points; also the clean sheet today is massive. Fulham have kept scoring although they are in terrible run. If these Fulham attacking players were able to convert their chances to the goals, it would be the easy 3 - 0 win at least. We were lucky as hell.
