I would say tanjiro loses to Akaza in infinity castle because too do all those stuff to beat him it took away like 90 percent of his stamina while akaza would never get tired plus he tanjiro only won cus Akaza lost the will to live

Even if tanjiro had the stw and selfless state at the beginning he wouldve still fell to the aftereffects. He needed more time to master these abilities. Tanjiro would keep getting weaker and weaker from stamina loss while we all know demons have infinite stamina. This debate was cleary concluded in the 2v1 when akaza still prevailed after fighting Tanjiro and another strong hashira. Just saying, the author killed of Akaza for the sake of the storyline.

I would say tanjiro loses to Akaza in infinity castle because too do all those stuff to beat him it took away like 90 percent of his stamina while akaza would never get tired plus he tanjiro only won cus Akaza lost the will to live
Keep in mind though that he is talking about a fully healthy unharmed full potential tanjiro verse an akaza at 100%. Even though yes technically his memories saved him from doing more destruction, if tanjiro used STW mark, read blade, 13th form etc from the start, he would speed blitz akaza and he couldn’t regenerate fast enough.

akaza gets strength no matter what
13th form wins mid diff. But akaza would beat tanjiro at infinity castle mid-high diff. Tanjiro needed the help of fp giyuu and they still ended up losing. At the end the aftereffects left tanjiro practically paralysed and Akaza wouldve killed him and giyuu if he didnt kill himself. Even if tanjiro had the stw and selfless state at the beginning he wouldve still fell to the aftereffects. He needed more time to master these abilities. Tanjiro would keep getting weaker and weaker from stamina loss while we all know demons have infinite stamina. This debate was cleary concluded in the 2v1 when akaza still prevailed after fighting Tanjiro and another strong hashira. Just saying, the author killed of Akaza for the sake of the storyline.
