Many years ago I was in some Midwest town for work. Across the street I could see a festival of some sort, Bar-B-Q I think, was being set up. It was still morning but a band started to do a sound check. All of the sudden I hear a riff from this song. I said to myself, oh wow that's Kenny Wayne Shepherd! Then he played the whole song. My view of the stage was blocked but I still felt I got my own personal mini concert that day. It was so awesome and memorable! This song will always be a favorite.
I met kws in the last bar gig he ever did in baton rouge, la the next day I heard this all over the radio driving up the interstate. Pretty Cool. As I was talking to him he said this is my last bar gig, I just got signed and finished my first album..I thought yea right I've heard that before....Damn shoulda got him to sign a bar napkin from that night
20 or so years ago I was with some friends at Bristol Tennessee racetrack and I had already heard of and owned the music of KWS but to my surprise many I was with had not heard of him, it was a great night watching my friends being turned on for the first time to this band. They became lifelong fans and have seen him touring many times.
@@pwd1679 I've met them both...plus, I saw them during Bill Graham's Day On The Green in 1975!! (Didn't meet them then...they were too famous!) Met Johnny in Virginia and Edgar in North Carolina, in their later years.

I can always tell a song if it gets my attention when it's playing in the background. The first time I heard this is stopped me in my tracks at Blockbuster and had to find an employee to tell be who it was, and she told me it was an 18 year old kid from Louisiana. Been a fan ever since. Big Noah Hunt fan as well.

Finally seen Kenny and band in Tuscon ! Last week , What a show , would love to blow my Harp on few of his blue's songs ! ✌️

Nothing compares to Rock and Roll. I'm an old man who was raised on Rock and Roll. I can't believe it's still the most popular form of music! Awesome.
Maybe not the most popular theses days, but still far better than what's being called music today!!

I first heard Kenny about 15 years ago, been a fan ever since. Noah has an incredible voice and it just fits so well with Kenny's music.
This tune and midnight blues by wild t and the spirit are two of the best rock tunes.
