Imagine 2013 without One Direction. It's pretty difficult right? So the year was packed full of the boys and we loved it. So much so that we decided to look at all that glorious footage of the lads being young, hot and charming. Harry Styles had a reported 65-day romance with American star Taylor Swift who, once they broke up, became a topic of conversation and taunting by many One Directioners. In February the band got the Brits global success prize and described the night as "incredible". The lads revealed details of their 2014 tour at a packed press conference including dates at various stadiums. (Cue Twitter hysteria and mad planning.) The social-networking site had more than 1 million mentions in 80 minutes. Zayn Malik got engaged to Little Mix's Perrie Edwards and their burgeoning romance was met with generally good feeling from fans of both bands. While Niall Horan sent hearts into meltdown when he revealed he would "date a fan."
