Wow. So amazing!!
My sons jetta was in a hit an run by a Dodge 4x4 up in Canada. The mirror got knocked off, and the plastic surrounding the "triple square" bolt was broken off. Since it was a Sunday, I could not get access to a used replacement driver mirror.
Thanks to this amazing video, I was able to get it apart, use a two part epoxy to re glue the housing, bolt it all back together, and it's like new!! Just a few bucks to get some of the tools you mentioned.
Thanks for taking the time to post such a thoughtful helpful video. So grateful.
This video just saved me $300.
Thanks dude! Someone smashed my mirror off the other day and I just replaced it myself.
Help with the name of the "Special" size 8 bit for the mirror screw.
I believe it is called a tripple square bit
“This is what the tool looks like right here. You need a size 8” size 8 of what? Lol what’s the name of this bit? Kind of important
I believe it's a tripple square bit
Your video guide me and saved me 150 usd to fix it .. thank you
any chance of covering 2019+? I can't find a video anywhere
Gonna try this out
Thank you!!!
Thank you.
Seriously. How can we “do it ourselves”? If we don’t know what the special tool is or where to find it?
Pause the video count the sides on the tool and find it on Amazon and probably have to order a pack of 12 since you don’t know the actual size
I believe it's a tripple square bit
Anyone else unable to get the plastic panel in the door pocket bent out to remove the last bolt?
I took off the corner clips and that's it.
The last torque screw holding in the mirror assembly is a T40. Not a T8. A T8 is really small.
Someone took my mirror just the glass part and swapped it for their broken burned one.
You removed more than necessary
Can you explain? I'm about to do this myself and am thinking you might be right.
Please me too lol
@@ScarffArtChannel I think he's saying that you don't have to remove all the screws from the door panel, probably only have to remove the one under the top trim and the switches
Never getting a Volkswagen again.
