Oh Gemma I don’t know where to start! I will say you still looked beautiful even poorly in your hospital bed! I’m so sorry you’ve been going through it and I think your incredible with the Micra procedure- I don’t think I could go through that awake. I’m really queasy about my groin. Bless you Gemma. I was following your updates on here. What a dramatic end to a night out. Thank goodness for the NHS and your treatment but my goodness they are so stretched aren’t they . I hope you are doing ok. The pace maker will hopefully help you x I don’t drink alcohol anymore. Not for any judgey reason just because of the calories really. There’s some fabulous alcohol free options like gin etc which are lovely. That might help you if you’re out and about and don’t want to miss out as that’s clearly triggering isn’t it you poor thing. Our bodies are incredible aren’t they. The fact that your body gave you those months of warnings. You take care and thank you for sharing.
Thank you x x

Hi Gemma, really good to see you back I know what you have gone first hand. My heart op in September they put a laser in through my groin up to my heart, my heart was so bad I was laid on table for 8 hours wide awake. I have so much to thank the NHS for, they were stood there all that time, they are great. Things are improving gradually. Sorry to waffle on, you take it easy one day at a time and you will get there, I know that you are a strong person let the family look after you, all the best Michael.

It definitely scared us. Hope you are OK now Julie. Thank you x
Omg, horrendous, no wonder your emotions all upside down. Hubby has pacemaker due arterial heart arrhythmia. He’s doing well. But that’s years now. Not heard of this one that sits in the heart via the groin. I do hope it works and eases your health in time and your mind along with the family. I felt emotional myself listening to this. Xx

Thank you Annemarie x x
Wow scary stuff Gemma!! So glad you're ok! Hospitals make you feel so vulnerable. Hopefully that new pacemaker will keep you well xx
Thank you Janice-Ann x
Thank you for the video!
I also have vasovagal syncope. My triggers are usually stress but now it's become just the stress about thinking I'll have syncope. I've been having this for nearly 40 years. Sometimes once or twice a year or many years apart.
Had a loop recorder implanted in October 21. Didn't have an event until June. Slowing heart rate then a 9 second pause.
Was recommended for a leadless pacemaker. A new one by Abbott was just approved in the US. Instead of the prongs of the Micra it gets screwed into the heart wall.
I'm looking forward to finally having this behome after so long. It's becoming a constant fear of mine.
I hope you are doing well and please post any updates on your PM.
Hi Dave. It's the Abbott leadless one I have, it's all going well so far. The peace of mind it's given me has definitely helped my anxiety about it. Good luck, feel free to contact me at any point, it's nice to hear from someone with the same issues x
That was very interesting Gemma, but you have been though the mill, I wish you a speedy recovery and rest that's the main thing, take care xx
Thank you Jaqueline x
What a traumatic experience for you all , I hope it all goes well with the appointment at hospital an£ you and family can just get on and enjoy life again ,take care Gemma x 😊

Thank you so much for this information Gemma. I may have to have a pacemaker myself in the near future so obviously I found what you said interesting.my problem is heart beats too fast. You’ve been very brave. I went through a similar op where they went to my heart through my groin. Keep well, rest up and stay safe.x
Thank you Linda x x
Awwww Gemma. So sorry you have been so ill. Good to see you, but like others say, look after yourself and don’t worry about vlogging etc. Take care. Xx
