Wow what a great breakdown of the kit and logistics, even inc your apps. I did Glenfinnan to Inverie in Sep 2024, so got a little taste of the trail. I will come back to do it later when I get fitter. I had the same large Sigma pot as you previously had but stuck with it as I can also fit my cup in it along with small gas and stove. I have been eyeing up the Gregory Focal and the Rab Moun. I will move from Osprey as my last 2 developed a crazy loud creak, squeak with any load over 12kgs in them, drove me crazy. Great upload and thanks for sharing. And all the kit you made, next level.

Nice that you went over to Inverie, that's a great walk by itself. Knoydart is probably the hardest bit, so you know what you're letting yourself in for. Those sea to summit pots with the folding handles are great. My gregory focal is pretty good & comfortable, but it does squeak sometimes when loaded up. If you've got a narrow waist (

A great video Tom with excellent content about your preferred kit.
Definitely worth possibly considering making a video about making your own gear
Well done and I look forward to seeing further videos 👍

Thanks, hope you found it usefull / interesting. I'm about to start marking a backpack, which I'll document and do a video on if it goes well 😅

I just drink from the streams in scotland, every guide I have had has told me it's fine in the areas I visit, not got sick, YET!

For me the reason I generally always treat my water is that although most of the water is going to be fine, theres that 1% chance it isn't and i don't want to take the chance and ruin my trip. There are also deer pretty much everywhere in Scotland, and so you never know how many little bits of their feces that bubbling burn has in.

@@tomyudinAye there are definitely too many deer in the Highlands!
