This is beautiful, congrats. Martial arts saved my life also, being physically fit and mentally fit helped me survive a surfing accident where I was paralyzed from the neck down and had an underwater out of body experience. Your story is awesome bro, that’s true North Shore history.

So stoked to watch this. As a white belt, starting in my mid 40's, jiu jitsu has truly helped with some internal struggles. I hope to someday realize that black belt before my time here is done. Respect🙏🏽

Just by sharing your personal experiences, has strengthen others. We can only Become what we choose. & your transformation, growing up with teachers in the community. Your father reaching out to others for help to Malama his son. I love it that's how we grew up in Hawaii in the 60's & 70's. Good to see communities still carry that sense of Malama one another. You have so much to share & give to our lost young Hawaii kids especially our lost Kanaka. Eli
