I like how you did the visualizations of the waves by stretching them, that was a really good visual. I'm still going to finish my video, but I'll be sure to link to your video too! One correction (at least I think)... My understanding for the CC1101 radio is that "bandwidth" in AM is actually about limiting how closely the broadcast frequency has to match the actual receive frequency (not about the data rate) and it only seems to impact the receive values, not the transmit. I was initially thinking it was more similar to how you showed it too. The frequency we set in the Flipper Zero is the center frequency, and the bandwidth is roughly the width from the lowest frequency to the highest frequency that is acceptable. For example, if you are listening on 433.42 with AM270 then 270KHz is the width of the signals you allow, with 433.42 being the mid-point; 433.42 +- (270KHz/2) = 433.285MHz to 433.555MHz. If you are using AM650 then 650KHz is the width of the signals you allow; 433.42 += (650KHz/2) = 433.095MHz to 433.745MHz. I think I read it somewhere in the CC1011 spec, but I can't find the text anymore? The way I confirmed this understanding was to create the following SUB file & then use Sub-GHz, Saved, Emulate... Filetype: Flipper SubGhz Key File Version: 1 Frequency: 433620000 Preset: FuriHalSubGhzPresetOok650Async Protocol: Princeton Bit: 24 Key: 00 00 00 00 00 4E 8C F4 TE: 400 This will play a signal at 433.62MHz when you click the button on the Flipper. This can be decoded on a second Flipper Zero using AM650 at a frequency of 433.42 (but will fail to decode on AM270). If you change the above frequency file from 433620000 to 433520000 then both AM650 and AM270 can decode it. So basically, you can use "AM270" when you want to be more specific about the frequency you are capturing for an AM signal. I really like how you made the video easy to follow and still discussed PSK without making people's heads explode. My video is still a little too technical, I need to do some serious editing.
Thank you Derek for excellent comments. I think you are right - and my explanation is a bit inaccurate. I will have to add a correction note (I wonder how that is done...?). According to docs.flipperzero.one/sub-ghz/read#zNwGY the FM238 means frequency modulation with the bandwidth of 270 kHz and the deviation of 2.380371 kHz. The same with FM476 - frequency modulation with the bandwidth of 270 kHz and the deviation of 47.60742 kHz. So here the number behind the DM says something about the deviation explained here: ruclips.net/video/gFu7-7lUGDg/видео.html This may differ a bit from AM to FM. My explanation is more about data capacity which is related to bandwith, but I believe your understanding is more correct. Thank's again - lets be wize by helping each other :-)
