Pravinder ji Namaskar Aapka yeh wala video bahut mane rakhta hai. RG58 cable thik hai, kyonki round surrounded by negative foil terminal, us se signal miss nahin hoga, par koi bhi electrical wire jo twisted like hota hai usme signal missing hoga. Haan flat cable jo parallel me hota hai, jaise black wire purana Black and white TV antenna wire me use hota tha woh bhi chalega. Aap bhi dekhe honge ki jab ek aeroplane ✈️ aapke ghar ke aas paas se gujarta hoga to usi dauran aapka FM signal poore dum se signal miljata hoga. Reflections matters not twisted wires.... Sahih ya galat aap bataiyega please.

Thank you sir for providing unique info. After watching your video I have bought D219 few days back. I am also a native of of north haryana. Reception is good on the roof but inside room the signal vanish. I ll try to build this antenna. Earlier I use to listen FM channels from delhi which is almost 200 kms away from my home with the help of an antenna and wire . I will share my feedback once I make this antenna. I have a query where to connect these two wires from antenna in the radio. One wire can be rotated around the telescopic antenna and as I understood the second wire need to be connected to negetive terminal . Could you please tell me where is that negative terminal. As battery box need to be closed for box and I am using 5v adapter for power? Waiting for your answer. Regards , Keep it up.

Bhai sahab, Today I tried , made a good antenna as per your specifications , used aluminium rods same we use to get for yagi antenna still reception is very poor . I am using old BSNL telephone wire . Is it because of that, it is copper wire from both side. Reception is so poor that it is not catching signal of my local community radio which works fine just outside the room. Please guide. If you want i can send you pix as well

Hello Pravinder ji, I have a few questions: 1) Can you please test this Yagi Antenna on Philips Champion radio or any other local made radio? Does that give same result as XHDATA? I am trying to catch Mumbai FM stations using a similar Yagi Antenna, I am located in Pune. I am getting very good reception on FM stations available in Pune but not getting any FM stations from other cities. I want to receive FM Gold and FM Rainbow available in Mumbai. 2) I have used DTH cable for connections, if I use a high-quality speaker wire, will it give better results? 3) Do we need proper earthing for good performance of this antenna? 4) I have a straight aluminum pipe, 5 feet long, installed vertically on my terrace, with this rod I was getting good reception on FM as well as MW. I was able to tune Akashvani Chennai station at early morning time before the sunrise. If I use a longer aluminum rod, will that improve the reception further? I am planning to install a 12 feet long rod. I will appreciate your reply, and you are doing a good job in the field of radios. Thanks, NP.

See, the thing is, the radios which have external antenna jack are designed to handle the higher load of an antenna. Simple Radios like Champion may or may not handle an antenna load. One has to keep experimenting with them. Proper earthing may help. There is no guarantee that longer aluminum pipe will work or not. You will have to keep experimenting.

Maine 12 Feet ki aluminum strip li jisko 1x3 feet, 2x2 Feet, 2x1.5 feet, 2x1 foot ke design se 4 foot ki lakdi se joda aur sabko barabar distance se joda. Last second big Jo ki reflector ke sath hai uspe RG6 wire connect ki fir bhi kaam nhi kar Raha hai bilkul. 2nd floor pe rakha par location city ki aakhri colony hai. Iska koi solution ho to please bataein.
Rajesh ji, agar aapke us Home theatre device mein Antenna jack hai ya terminals hain tabhi connect hoga. FM stations agar strong hain aapke aas paas to 200-250 tak ke bhi catch ho sakte hain.
Sir , I have Sony ICF J40 and according to your advice I have taken out two points from my radio. One point is from the antenna & other point is from Ground/Common point where battery negative terminal is applied ... But, as I check with multimeter - loop/continuity mode, both points are found to be common .......... Kindly help me
Dheeraj ji, check with a local mechanic. Even if the mechanic is not a Radio mechanic, He will certainly tell you where the mistake is. Also, try your Antenna with the two points you have taken out; no matter what the continuity meter says. If Antenna works, it's fine. Or else, just attach the two wires coming from Antenna to the following two points: 1. One wire, attach it to the whip Antenna, tie it. 2. Attach the other wire to the negative terminal of the cells/battery of the Radio

Ji, ye vivad ka vishaya hai. Antenna experts dono tarah ki raaye rakhte hain. Kuch ke anusar ye Aluminium ki ho to better hai aur kuch ke anusar isase koyi practically noticeable fark nahi padta. Ye shodh ka vishaya rahega.
Maine abhi jaan boojh kar Aluminium ki central rod nahi li taaki Driven Element ke connections karna aur video ke through explain karna bhi easy ho jaaye.

सर अभी आपका अंटेना का व्हिडीओ देखा और आज मार्केट में घुमा तो पता चला की मोनो (Mono) पिन युज करें उसमे सिर्फ 2 वायर का प्रावधान होता है. आपने स्टीरिओ पिन युज किया है. उसमे 3 कनेक्षण का प्रावधान है. पर हमें रेडिओ के लिये 2 की हि जरुरत होती है....!!!

I have a few questions:
1) Can you please test this Yagi Antenna on Philips Champion radio or any other local made radio? Does that give same result as XHDATA? I am trying to catch Mumbai FM stations using a similar Yagi Antenna, I am located in Pune. I am getting very good reception on FM stations available in Pune but not getting any FM stations from other cities. I want to receive FM Gold and FM Rainbow available in Mumbai.
2) I have used DTH cable for connections, if I use a high-quality speaker wire, will it give better results?
3) Do we need proper earthing for good performance of this antenna?
4) I have a straight aluminum pipe, 5 feet long, installed vertically on my terrace, with this rod I was getting good reception on FM as well as MW. I was able to tune Akashvani Chennai station at early morning time before the sunrise. If I use a longer aluminum rod, will that improve the reception further? I am planning to install a 12 feet long rod.
I will appreciate your reply, and you are doing a good job in the field of radios.

See, the thing is, the radios which have external antenna jack are designed to handle the higher load of an antenna.
Simple Radios like Champion may or may not handle an antenna load.
One has to keep experimenting with them.
Proper earthing may help.
There is no guarantee that longer aluminum pipe will work or not.
You will have to keep experimenting.

Ji, kuch nahin kah sakta. Agar us speaker mein whip antenna diya gaya hai to ek taar usase jod sakte hain.
Maine 12 Feet ki aluminum strip li jisko 1x3 feet, 2x2 Feet, 2x1.5 feet, 2x1 foot ke design se 4 foot ki lakdi se joda aur sabko barabar distance se joda. Last second big Jo ki reflector ke sath hai uspe RG6 wire connect ki fir bhi kaam nhi kar Raha hai bilkul.
2nd floor pe rakha par location city ki aakhri colony hai.
Iska koi solution ho to please bataein.

Rajesh ji, agar aapke us Home theatre device mein Antenna jack hai ya terminals hain tabhi connect hoga. FM stations agar strong hain aapke aas paas to 200-250 tak ke bhi catch ho sakte hain.

One point is from the antenna & other point is from Ground/Common point where battery negative terminal is applied ...
But, as I check with multimeter - loop/continuity mode, both points are found to be common ..........

Dheeraj ji, check with a local mechanic. Even if the mechanic is not a Radio mechanic, He will certainly tell you where the mistake is.
Also, try your Antenna with the two points you have taken out; no matter what the continuity meter says. If Antenna works, it's fine. Or else, just attach the two wires coming from Antenna to the following two points: 1. One wire, attach it to the whip Antenna, tie it. 2. Attach the other wire to the negative terminal of the cells/battery of the Radio

और आज मार्केट में घुमा तो पता चला की मोनो (Mono) पिन युज करें उसमे सिर्फ 2 वायर का प्रावधान होता है.

During thunderstorms, keep the Antenna wires away and connect it to the wire coming from some rod which is connected to the ground.
