Indeed, 2017 was great, his 4th 90%+ won season with his Neo backhand comeback! 2004-2006 he had the first 3 90%+ won seasons consecutively and 2007 was close at 88.5% won so I say he had 4.9 seasons 90%+! Djoker had only 2 seasons (2011 & ‘15) 90%+ (& only 1 season 88.5%+).

That shot against De Minaur is ridiculous, the fact his footwork was so quick to create enough space to hit that shot, stepping backwards yet generating that pace, is insane.

    • @samy29987

It's my favorite of the compilation. He got so much pace out of that forehand from a very uncomfortable situation. Flick of the wrist, cross the back foot and a rocket came out of it of a half volley from the baseline.

It was great he could win 3/4 last slam finals (by performance in points & games in a 5 hour marathon at age 37.9 v. his rival 6 years of youth losing only in the 5th set tiebreaker is the greatest ever Wimbledon runner-up effort and doesn’t affect RF’s kingship at this most prestigious of all slam majors!), and finally turn around the losing trend v. Nadal winning 6/7 last matches (clay was lopsided 2-14, but positive 11-9 on hard c. & 3-1 on grass, 15-10 non-clay which is 70% of tennis 🎾 tournaments!).

Fine understatement! Nobody else ever mastered tennis to make a perfect classic yet also innovative all-court attacking ouvre for an endless sea of highlights to admire and study for us all where he continually led the game expanding the platform winning the hearts of most of competitors and us completing the greatest ever career achievements as king at the 2 most prestigious slam Wimbledon and king at the biggest stage the US Open and 4.9 seasons won 90%+ & big 3 record 95.3% after a 6 year gradual rise from pro debut to overcome and turn around several great losing H2H to win more (Nadal, Agassi, Murray, Hewitt & Nalbandian-Djokovic only accomplished this by the smallest possible margin in 1 slam final and 2 slam semis, if any 2 of which Fed converted a match point then their H2H after 60 encounters would be even).

Of course he would have won more. The reason why Nadal always used to beat him was because of his weak backhand which is ready to be exploited by a lefty player who is also one of the greats. When he fixed his backhand with a larger racket their head to head was 6-1 in Roger's favour.

Sinner and Alcaras the future of tennis is are both 2-handed.....entertainment is a personal opinion. The question of winning more titles has too many variables. If Nadal was right handed Federer would probably have 3-5 French open titles. If. Federer played during the 90’s when the courts were faster than he probably would have another 25-30 titles. Who knows?

I'd argue with the physical bit. He was one of the fittest guys on tour, despite his 'deceiving' looks.
Mental strentghts, that's a fair point - that's where he fell a tad short compared to Rafa or Novak.

Once he had that mono he was never physically fully fit....It does not allow you to go full throttle....I would guess he missed many slams due to this mono thing (8-10 slams)....Look what happened to Robin soderling

After his second knee injury in 2016, RF retired for recover, trained and trained and secretly rebuilt his game entirely: his footwork changed, his hands positions changed, and most of all his backhand completely changed, stepping in the court more aggressively and hitting the ball much higher and faster, as a result and you can see the difference (when he plays Nadal with that green shirt) his backhand was unstoppable, he destroyed everyone and won 2 majors slams in 2017, Australia Open and Wimbledon, making this one of the most unbelievable returns after injury in the history of tennis. No one could believe it but Roger Federer Did it.

      @@josequintero8615 there's a lot to debate about.
If you ask me the question literally "who's the greatest tennis player ever" the answer can never be Djokovic, his amazing consistency brought him to be the most successful player ever, but Federer and Nadal's peak are absolutely untouchable, if anyone else played them at their peak performance they would just get destroyed, Djokovic included (which happened many time by the way, so it's not an hypothesis, it's a fact).
To further validate this point, Federer was leading Djokovic in H2H until Fed was 32, meaning Djokovic couldn't handle prime Federer at all, he did manage to win more in Fed's later years because Fed's game, although still brilliant, lost the consistency needed to beat Djokovic's "no-errors" type of tennis.
Records don't define how good you were on your peak performance, you can root for Djokovic, he's obviously a legend of the game, but he couldn't have played in 2008 Wimbledon Final.

Federer also beat him during the 2012 Wimbledon semis when Novak was number 1 for a while!!!

@@GholamFareed Novak had a bad day at the French. But he also had by far the longest win streak of all time, more than Federer has ever been able to amass, so that's a great point.
Also, who won that 2019 Wimbledon match? Winners and whatever else don't matter, the only thing that matters is who walks away with the win that it was Novak yet again. He completely dethroned Roger who was supposedly the king of grass and showed that he was better than Roger even on Roger's best surface.
