Nah. Had a roomy in Uni who legit kept me awake for two weeks save for moments of micro-sleep. NO shadow people. In my grandmother's Phoenix home, however, many years ago (was kind of a mini mansion with a grapefruit orchard and water pumped in daily from some creek system or such on the main drag, now long gone) I saw them. I was maybe seven? Five? . So this was fifty years plus ago. Now I would chalk this up to seeing things, being a kid, etc. Save for one problem. I told my mom about this when I was in my thirties. She then told me that she always saw things in that bright sunny room that looked like shadows, and that her dad had spent his last night before a major stroke in that room. In hospital within I think 24-48 hours the stroke killed him, and that room always creeped her out (We stayed in another room, and no she never mentioned this to me as a child!). So. I was not the only one to see it and neither of us is (or was) given to hallucinations or seeing nonsense. There had to be something there.

I've seen shadow people a few times. The most memorable one was while I was sitting up late, watching TV. I could see straight down the hallway and could see all three doorways. My bedroom was the room at the end of the hall, on the left. That's where I saw it. While watching a movie, I felt like I was being watched. When I glanced up from the TV, I could see that something was in the doorway. As I focused on seeing the doorway in the darkness, I could just make out a shape in the doorway. It was solid black and darker than the surrounding shadows. As my eyes focused better, I could clearly make out a head and shoulders, leaned over and looking down the hallway at me. It appeared to be in my bedroom, leaning out to look. I can still see it in my mind...
My sister saw a big guy in shadow hanging around a heavily treed area outside her bedroom's side of the house. I couldn't see him. That night she yelled for me. I came to her room... She said she was almost asleep and felt a presence, opened her eyes and saw the shadow was looming over her bedside, like it was looking down at her. She'd tried to scream and couldn't. It left her room by the door to our connecting hallway and she could vocalize. I'd heard carpet-hushed footsteps coming towards my room before I heard her call. I'd thought she was going to the bathroom next to my room, but then heard her calling from her bed. I figured it was curious about the pretty redhead who could see him. Years later my daughter freaked out that she saw a tall male shaped forn lean from the kitchen, into the living room as she passed from the front door to the back of the house. She's also a redhead. Funny they mention the cardiac thing.
