      @@paganhorde4463also thanks for putting in all the effort! I remember you said it might be a lot of work but I didn't expect quite this much with 5+ recording hours alone! Hope it becomes a popular video!

    You made a mistake on the RAC 5 by saying it has 6 recoil. It has +1 and +1 above 4, for a max of 3 recoil. Clan RAC 5 is +1 with +1 over 3 shots, so max 4 recoil. RISC RAC 5 has 6 recoil. Also minor differences between the 3, like the RISC is a ton heavier at 11 tons and Clan is 8 slots versus 6 (which is really rare that the Clan is bigger /and/ not lighter than it's IS counterpart). With the recoil and range differences, combined with tonnage and slots, it does make them all different. The note I would have pointed out for the Pirate RAC 5 is that there is no specialist UAC ammo while normal RACs get access to specialist ammo.
    Would have mentioned with MRMs that they can not fire Indirect. You accidently skipped Magpulse LRM ammo. ATM HE is 15 damage, not 13. You kept talking about Disco lasers, but you didn't put up a actual Disco Laser, which is a amazing weapon btw specially on a LAM or other back striker.
    REX laser is +45% to armor, not 100%. It will do 65 damage to armor and only 31 damage to internals. Math gets wonky on how the devs round, and it is fair to ask how it works if say there is less than 65 armor in a location... or say 1 point of armor. Does it do 65 damage and then reduce what is left by 30%? Or does it do up to 65 damage against armor, stop if it is less than 45, then reduce the remaining damage by 30%? Then you throw in the reduced damage math for max range and things get super weird. 10% on 45 damage is 4.5 (again, no clue on how they round), is that 4.5 increased by 45% (6.025 damage) or is the weapon really doing 55% of it's damage (20.25 damage) against armor?

      @@paganhorde4463 Heck... I think I would have just made 4-5 videos and broke it down that way... one just on Ballistics, Missiles, energy, and artillery. Toss in hand-held and the MG/Flamers as a 5th video if you want. I dunno, does RUclips have a requirement on how long a video has to be? I mean, you honestly could have a 15 minute long video just on RACs and Ultras... then you could also make a Super Heavy weapon video as a follow up if you wanted, covering all that insanity, like RAC Gauss, Rail Guns and Naval Lasers.

      Yup. the entire subject is quite the rabbit hole. I tried a general approach here, a broad view of the subject and its an almost an hour video

    Some rockets are 5 shot. Thing with rockets is if they're 1 shot they need very little space, so you can fit them sometimes for that reason.

    Double AC's can also be good if you have the recoil reduction. UAC with specialty ammunition? Sign me up!

    Well, i think Heavy PPC QS is really good for what it bring on the table.
    100 dm max for 25 heat🎉
    4 recoil is kinda bad but manageable.
    Slap it on ur mobile/med brawling mech to keep the range on it at long or extreme to get the most damage. Or any mech u want to keep at 500-600 range.
    Slap a predator on with tracker and u are good...

    Typhon, not typhoon. Do they not have the ultra laser in the game anymore? The one that hits for 100?

    I think you could give periphery rotary cannons another minute of discussion? I think most of their tradeoffs aren't purely negatives, and they can be pretty nasty. Their only real 100% negative is requiring the ammo in the same location as the weapon itself?

    • @paganhorde4463
      @paganhorde4463  Год назад +1

      Yea its hard to into details with everything. Absolutely, if you get the right ammunition, like sabot rounds, they can perform as good as a regular RaCs. Sabot rounds will do more dmg to armor and will mitigate the rifle's negative. Just keep in mid that they have shorter range and eventually when you get to higher difficulty missions, you will want to have the range advantage. roguetech.fandom.com/wiki/Gear/Ammo_Medium_Rifle_Sabot

      @@paganhorde4463 I just have a love for ultralights in the early game after running them on a LAM. 2 ultralight rotaries and 3 vulcan cannons is absolutely murder to any medium or heavy it gets in the rear of, or side once they've gotten sandblasted a bit.

      It's not that big of a negative since case 2 exists and frankly is essential later on with all the TAC capabilities the enemies have.
