Pro Caver here: the best cave is the Large Sewer Cave, it's the one that looks like the exit of Military Tunnels. It has 8 build spots inside its 4 layers, some of which you can reach electricity into from the surface. I've never been raided living in there, though many have tried. Depending on the build spot you can easily make a 60-100 Rocket raid base for dirt cheap build cost and upkeep.

So many people don't know how to build optimal cave bases. You've got the ultimate opportunity to make the path to TC and loot horrible to even bother with but people do it wrong. I'm not gonna reveal how since I don't want people to use caves, I want them. That TC location was cancer.
Just wait till the next episode, it was about 150 rockets to TC by the end.
If someone brings 150 rockets to your base you're probably raided anyways

I don't know how to build those bunkers but I do the bucket cave build and multiple layers of armored honeycomb at the front.
