- After high demand, I finally decided to assemble an anime shanty clip based off of the song "Jamestown Homeward Bound," which a great deal of people have been waiting for. Just to let you know, this was hastily assembled with old pictorials. However, there are some new ones. Comments are appreciated. However, please have them positive in nature. Do not send any burn comments. Thank you and enjoy!
Dude, here in this age of sea shanties, I remember first hearing so many of them watching your vids. Your work still kicks ass, rock on.
Another great video. I have heard this shanty was originally composed by the crew of the U. S.sloop of war Jamestown, launched in 1844, a ship which had a long and distinguished career.Information on the ship can be found in the book The American Sailing Navy by Howard I. Chapelle on page 440, and the lines given in the drawing on page 443. The book is a wonderful resource on early American warships.

Anyone notice that it took him 3 years to make these drawings and in the beginning of the song it says the sailors were out on the sea for 3 three years. LOL convenience.

Probably took him three years since he probably made this on a voyage and uploaded it when he arrived at Jamestown lol
I can not currently express how much joy this music and your art work brings me thank you so much.
Another good song with good visuals. You can really tell by their faces how happy they are to be sailing home after a long voyage (especially since voyages before the 1900s could last for years.

Ah great memory's that ship you drew reminds me of the ship me and my wife used to sail on when we where younger and all the pictures of the crew seem so true reminds me of a better time i miss you my crew
I had never heard of this shanty before I found your video. It was pleasant and happy and jolly with homecoming to America the Beautiful (and doubtless some beautiful Americans. ;)) All the sailing scenes new and old are well done.

Work of human hands and minds are base of our actions and existence:) But i believe in powers that reside outside normal ways of comprehension. Mankind believed in supernatural powers since we left our caves and look up into the starry night :) It's part of humanity and it's fixed in many cultures of our world :) Fighting and working for sake of fulfilling our dreams is most important, but please remember greekish king Pyrrus. I would have expected more roughness in the voice from a sailors song, but other that that, two thumbs up and it didn't keep me from subscribing after two songs.

Where did you get the music for this and some of your other posts? I've looked quite a bit for music by Forebitter that I could buy, but haven't been able to find it from the usual suspects (Google Play, Amazon, etc.).

I came for the music and am very honestly delighted by your drawings! I never considered anime characters in a whaling ship or ship of war but I suddenly have a need!!
It's been a while since I've watched any shounen anime but Vegeta's hair is still very iconic! So is he the gruff but heart of gold kind of captain or is he just asshole but not too much of a dick captain?

@jselvy2 Can I just make a suggestion: Irish rebel music is good, nothing against it but, a lot of people find it either offensive or just like to argue about it. Just to keep the peace, I suggest that LordDrakoArakis doesn't play irish rebel music.
