Definitely a 5 inch stainless steel snorkel powder coated black, that supercharger needs to breathe! This beast of a rig would look strange with a safari style snorkel strapped to it and perhaps a really nice roof rack, roof tent and solar panels I'd also love to see the 12v system that you could hide in her. As for the audio, as long as the kids get screens in the headrests to stop them squabbling! Thanks Reuben 👍👍👍✊✌
Sort out a Y62 walk-in, walk-out package like this rig. They'll sell and I'll donate first to your Barra fishing fund! Great looking rig, DMW is kicking absolute goals!
@@GreatDustyXplorAus Yes I know that, but I’ve edited my comment to make that clearer. DMW seem to do the best work. I’d only trust them to build a canopy, that way you get styling with quality
Yeah I'm over the stainless hey they are ugly as hell and don't add bugger all power I don't rekon!!! I know personally you can make good numbers with a stock airbox and safari style snorkel
Now your talking what a great machine you have made. I like it even more then grahams white one it just looks spot on. Nice 5” stainless snorkel be spot on. Love the beast.
Hey Rueben, Love your work nothing but an eye for detail. A couple of things l would add / change. Wood grain l would paint a mate silver, put a fridge in between the back seats, I would put a flip lid to access to tools from behind the back seats in the event damage to either side and the draws couldn’t be opened. Plus a mid centre winch with a pulley and a feeder slot @ to top of the headboard on each side. So the winch could be used from either side, in the event that you need to hold yourself up while pulling forward so you don’t have to rely on another vehicle to hold you upright. These are just my ideas.
Has to be a black stainless 5” snorkel, Love the build mate, delete the wood grain for sure and sort the sound system out, Be mean to see a small 700mm canopy or so just to hold a fridge and a few bags.
@@Lucas-vw2yb I’ll take a look for sure . Your the first to mention water issues with Safari . Thanks for the heads up . Weight is my main concern as mentioned . Every KG counts when building a towing rig .
what a beast! > can't go wrong with a safari snorkel imho > what about a big lightbar across the top of the tray's bar? > as for stereo upgrades -- just a speaker upgrade to perhaps Kicker branded ones would make a big difference & you can get by without adding an amp can't wait for the next vid 👍
Love it. Makes we want to chop my Y62 and I haven't even taken delivery yet. My vote is stainless snorkel, brushed aluminium wood grain delete and get The Fitting Bay to do a CarPlay retrofit with same screen 👍
Best looking hopped y62 on the market. 5" stainless for the win as the induction noise is sick. Head unit look at the dash offroad vidoes on his duel screen one.
DMW Ruben The cavity where the wheel arches were would be ideal for an Aux fuel tank. Because its low and forward of the rear axle, could be gravity fed to main tank or fuel line? Woodgrain delete and painted body color or covered with thin fabricated stainless sheet?
What a beast!!! Gotta give you DMW crew credit absolutely awesome work. Definitely needs a big 5 inch Stainless snorkel and if available twin 5 inch stainless snorkels will set this Beast off nicely!!!
Im not familiar with the Y62 set up but good speakers with proper cross overs (the larger type mounted independent of speaker) make a big difference to sound quality. Sick build btw 👍
Nice setup, there are turbo,s for these now. Be good to see which is better? My guess turbo will out run it in power and fuel economy. Be great to see though.
Mate, I put the EC off-road Instrument cluster in my 62, looks like a new Audi in the cluster now, no bugs…. The new UAE dash bugs will be sorted soon, the Tesla looking one is a nightmare but once they have the UAE Nissan Copy one sorted then thst and wood grain delete then bingo no more 2005 Nissan Maxima inside… I’m going to have to get a rear diff cover off you, I’ll contact you soon.. cheers, epic build big man!! 🤘🤘🚜🚜🤘🤘
Hey Ruben, for your stereo look at alpine as a good all rounder or if your chasing quality and clarity focal all day long. And check out dash off road for a head unit
First thing I would do is do something about the poxy ratchet straps holding the spares down. Surely you could fab some sort of hidden clamp system for each wheel that hold them securely and separate so If you actually "do" a tyre the other good one is still held secure.
Absolute beast Reuben. 5 inch stainless and definitely wood grain delete on the interior the only thing I don’t like about this patrol that shit belongs in the 1980s not sure what Nissan was thinking with that interior
cool lookn y62 mate great job on the chop just out of curiosity what size fuel tank are you running what's the go with that setup twin tanks or just 1 and yea go the 5inch stainless snorkel mate
Been loving this build guys go with the staino snorkel tint the front windows and delete the wood grain and that’s about it mate she’s perfect otherwise
Hi Ruben can I ask you a cheeky question. What height are you because when you stood near the front end of the car the bonnet was nearly the same height as you. The Truck looks massive..
With all respect to the Mits Alloy, that is the Y62 which Graham from 4wd24/7 should aim for. Especially in Kitchen area where DMW has really tweaked its kitchen, which is coming down and for that reason in very usable with short bloke like Graham. Mits Alloy table in the canopy of white Y62 gets him right in the nech hight. Also water and fuel pick-ups are in far better place on DMW canopy.

Lol snorkels dont help an engine breathe, go put on snorkel yourself and run around your yard 3 times.

DMW attention to detail is next level and Rueben takes so much pride in his work.
Well done DMW
Cheers!
Definately looks cooler than Graham's Y62. You should some accessories on the roof like a rack or some lights
Agree, the other company really fcked up Graeme’s tray canopy. He should have used DMW who custom build to suit the vehicle
No don’t fuck it with a roof rack 😂
@@obs2746 dmw didn't do the tray canopy it was MITS

Safari all the way. Stainless snorkels are going on every car these days. Always good to see a throwback to the O.G. Safari snorkels
Yeah I'm over the stainless hey they are ugly as hell and don't add bugger all power I don't rekon!!! I know personally you can make good numbers with a stock airbox and safari style snorkel
From a fellow Y62er this is an amazing build well done crew 💪🏻
It's so refreshing to see something this cool.
YesSiRr!! Mate... that's a BEAST!! Awesome stuff!! Love your Work Fellaz!
5inch stainless power coat black. You won’t regret it.

I really like the bull bar the same color as the truck. Good one
Awesome build!! Those wheels are unreal! I might grab a set for my graphite 200 series :)
What a wicked build and a wicked machine.
Wicked indeed! :) Thanks, Danny!
awesome build Reuben, a Safari snorkel would look great as to match the tray , plenty of stainless polished snorkels around
Cheers Rolly :)
5 inch stainless for sure 👌 that thing is awesome, amazing work DMW 👍
very nice Rubin ,has all the practical stuff that you need plus the fun factor as well when you put the right foot down. nice work 👍
Oh my god…that things absolutely beautiful. Unbelievable guys.
What does a build like this cost roughly. I'm really liking the look of these.
5” stainless powder coated black for sure 👍🏻. Just got mine fitted this week and it looks and sounds awesome 💪🏻
The best looking, most comfortable, quiet, most powerful, true 4x4, load capable vehicle currently on the road.
Love this Y62 a hell of a lot more than Graham's! Well done mate. Very jealous.

Brilliant DMW. Looks epic . I’m going Safari snorkel on
Mine due to weight savings for Van towing and water ingress issues with the stainless ones .
The safari ones have much worse water ingress issues, watch 4wd247 on Moreton and you’ll see why.

Not sure on regulations but I could definitely see the under cab draw being very suitable for firearms.
Absolutely awesome looking conversion. I would love to do the same to my Y62
Stainless 5 inch powder coated for sure.. looks and will sound mint with that added extra whine
5’ stains, wood grain delete, and I saw somewhere you can add apple maps to the standard stereo
hi Reuben love the Y62 will we see it on the tracks in a 4wd24/7 video would love to see it out wheel shaunos dirty30 lmao thanks for the run down

Yeah black powder coated 5” staino. With the wood grain just get it vinyl wrapped. I did mine in carbon fibre in the cruzer 👌🏾👌🏾
Can you get a toro bull bar with the rails that cover the headlights? If so add the Bush rails as well. Plastic snorkel all the way

Mad build but what happened to ruben’s eye?
You should put dual black stainless snorkels on it
5" stainless snorkel & airbox.
Wood grain delete, paint it piano black.
Pioneer platform rack, front light bar.

What length extension have you done? And also what's the gvm upgrade so you can run 37's?
COULD YOU YOU PUT YOUR COOKING SYSTEM IN ABOVE THE WATER TANT BUT INBETWEEN THE CAB & TYRES ?????
with a thinner version of the cooker of courses
Safari snorkel 👌
Definitely twin powercoated snorkels into a massive airbox that beast will need lots of air making that power
