Both Lijiang and Zhaotong in Yunnan have large-scale apple-planting bases. Every November, apples ripen in large numbers. Apples that grow naturally without bagging at high altitudes have ugly skins, so they're also called ugly apples. Due to the large temperature difference between day and night, the sugar in the apple forms a state of natural crystallization in the pulp, which makes the so-called "sugar heart" apple. For us, having such "sugar-hearted ugly apples" is the best way to feel the sweetness of winter.

As someone who lives in the tropics, we don't have the joy of apple harvesting. But we have mangoes, citruses, mangosteen, coconut, & so much more! It's always nice to eat fruits straight from the tree! What a great way to nourish the body!

My country is tropical mostly ( india ) but in north there is also cold so we get both. Tropical fruits from other states like papaya , mango , jackfruit , coconut also I my state ( Himalayan state ) we have peaches , apples , plums , strawberry, bayberry , figs and

Hahaha Dawang ask Grandpa, may I have ribs Grandpa. He is so adorable and polite. He waits patiently for his share. My babies all wait their turn to be served what is shared. It melts my heart to see Dawang. I am not certain he is Tibetan Mastiff, but it is one of my greatest wishes to be able to be Mommy to one of the majestic animals, they are so very Beautiful.

A dish you may enjoy is called Apple Butter here in the US - it is a sweet condiment made from apples that have been very slowly and gently cooked with white and brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla (though ginger would also taste nice too!). If you ever try it I hope to see a video some day! Also your apple tart looks AMAZING!
