When I say the robot flying towards that sun I thought that was Earth, and the robot was too late because humans already destroyed it.
Right
It wasn't the sun - it wasn't glowing, as evidenced by only one side being lit. It was a planet of gold. (Or whatever golden mineral the bigger robots had them mining.) It was a representation of the temptation of wealth and power.

This song is quickly becoming my favorite off of Vessels. Something about the high notes and the line "Is this death or rebirth?" just hits me every time. Plus I think Vessels blew Transmissions clear out of the water imo

I absolutely love that segment with the gold planet representing the dangers of the near-inescapable pull/desire towards temptation, power, greed, and revenge that many of us are unfortunately far too inclined to lean into instead of resisting.
I vote Satellite (what I'm calling the robot thanks to the "I've become satellite" lyric) to be the mascot of Starset!
This robot reminds me so much of Icarus.. Having a vision, a dream, he builds something that helps him reach it. However, when they both saw the sun, it lulled them and they started to burn. While Icarus died, though, this little guy reached its goal.
And now there's a Starset song called Icarus.

Starset fuels me, always bringing me back to the earth
The chorus/repeating part(s) before "death or rebirth" are nearly incomprehensible, but to me personally sounds like
"ON MY OWN, MY OWN!"
I'm not sure but I think the blue color = the good and the red = the bad (like for god and devil)
Notice that Earth is blue and the sun is red too
And when the pure blue rock "saw" that the robot was turning red, it decided to not help him anymore, because the rock want to have good persons / things around him, and when the robot was about to die because his rocket wouldn't work without his source of energy that is the rock (aka the good), he realised before almost dying, by crashing into what caused him to turn red, that all he wanted in the beginning was to have a peacefull life on Earth
And the robot became a good person again, and the rock noticed it, so it helped the robot and saved him, but if the robot would have stayed red, he would have died on the sun
Moral is that if you're planning to do bad things to other people, YOU will be the person that will get rekt by your own naughtiness, but, if you're planning to make people around you happy and to have a peacefull life, then you'll probably succeed
Also notice that when the robot first launch his rocket, the rock isn't shinning (even if he has his hand in front), BUT, when the robot came back from the devil, the rock was actually making light and shinning, so it means that the will of the robot to be good is more powerful than ever, so the rock is too
ALSO, notice that the very first planet with robot slaves is purple, and what gives purple ? Red + Blue, so it matches with the fact that these are robots and not humans, because they aren't supposed to have emotions, to know what is good and what is bad, and same thing for oppressors, they're not red, they oppress because that is what they have to do, that's all. Without the rock, the fleeing robot wouldn't have ever knew what the good was, and so on, because he knew what good was, he also discovered what the bad was for the first time of his life, but thanks to his wisdom (or the rock maybe ?) he went back to becoming a good person

Only issue is that’s not the sun. That’s the planet he left, note that it flashes in and out after the robot fantasizes about ruling it? He wound up turning back towards it and away from Earth. Heaven versus Hell still works though
The video is not one of morals, but is a message with a warning attached. The crystal and its power symbolizes the robot's dream and motivation. The robot strove for this goal, but upon first seeing an additional path, his motivation faltered and he careened towards the fate that tempted him instead. For many, this is the end; they fall too far into the pull of this alternate fate and can't escape: their dream is lost forever. The robot noticed he was veering off course and an alternate fate was pulling him away from his dream, and so, his motivation (the crystal) sparked back to life and he steered himself towards his desired fate: Earth.
TL:DR The moral is follow your dream, but be wary not to go off track, for if you do, you might not be able to come back.

This song from this album was probably the least liked by me, and it was still a good song, but seeing this music video and the story behind this song, it made me enjoy it more! Good job Starset. I don't know why many other bands doesn't put story behind their songs. Red is the only other band that I know that does, and Starset.

i believe when it said "is this death or rebirth" i think its a human like us but trapped on a ruled planet therefore where he or she was killed then turned into a bot or something then he or she found the crystal that bringed him or her back to life then he or she went home

HEY EVERYONE! I asked the animators of this in another comment if the fandom could name the robot since he's nameless for now, and they said sure. So, we've gotta come up with one! Here's some that I thought could work (since WALL-E is obviously copyrighted), based on the Starset songs this album:
Satellite (not only is it the name of a Starset song, but one of the lyrics in this is "I've become satellite" when it zooms in on just the robot right before he finds the crystal.)
Ricochet (it sounds cool)
Starlight (he is from another planet, after all)
Gravity (just because space)
Everglow (it sounds cool)

I really like the animation style of this video. Starset should do this more often!
For whatever reason, the ending part of the song itself (starting at 2:45) gets me all up in my feels and it may just be because of the way I interpret it. Like someone's in a constant state of depression and no matter what they do they always fall back to the earth and nothing they seem to do works but by the end towards the instrumental they just let out all of their emotions, which Dustin's voice in the background of it surely helps. Idk, chances are this sounds overthought and dumb

this band can seriously do no wrong!! I saw their concert in Columbus on Friday and they blew me away with how amazing they were. I also got to meet them and got their autographs following the concert and they're very humble and down to earth and such great guys. honestly tied for my favorite band!

I've been listening to this song for years now and never seen the video.
I have to admit, i was expecting something a little more intense with larger-than-life visuals of the band just going in, ya'know? Like on some Linkin park - crawling or some 30 seconds to Mars - From Yesterday type shit, but I do love this choice of direction too.
It's a lost message and very meaningful. I am glad people still wanted to get out of the Matrix, unfortunately that message fell on deaf ears somewhere in between 2010 and the coming of trap music.

I feel like animation is a perfect fit for Starset’s music. I’d love to see more animated music videos from them!
Of ALL the bands throughout history, that have attempted 'Concept' work, Starset have to be the greatest. They, or the 'Starset Society' have gone so far as to release a graphic novel, and an actual BOOK that tells part of the story (available on Amazon, called 'The Prox Transmissions'), to support their story or 'concept'...Either this is real or this is the most elaborately crafted and well funded musical concept in history! BTW: My prior comments on their previous videos have been in staunch support, but after Dustin revealed on a Reddit AMA, that his transparent display when live, is nothing more than an emulator, I'm still a fan, but disillusioned!
If you're interested in more conceptual albums and in the same genre as Statset, I recommend giving a listen to Celldweller's Wish Upon A Blackstar and End of an Empire albums. He's got a novel for WUAB and a graphic novel for EoaE. The music's good, too.
