Fun Fact: The person who sang this also made the music for Plants Vs Zombies.
Not just that. She is the creator of the game Rakuen, wrote and sang the song Everything’s Alright for To The Moon, worked with Yasunori Mitsuda singing one of the tracks on the official 20th anniversary Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross album, etc.

It is INSANE how as time goes on, this song just gets better and better. Laura Shigihara clearly poured her heart out composing this song and writing the lyrics, and God did it pay off. Truly unforgettable...

@@Firefly256 well, in the end of chapter 1, when you get removed from kris, you can actually move, meaning you arent kris and kris doesnt like the idea of you being kris
Well one of the stickers that toby uses is ralsei singing dont forget, implying that ralsei is with you in the dark, after all, he is a darkner
@@5koi if kris doesn’t like it, why not just always take the cage with you inside at all the time? Kris can’t survive for long without a soul, so just periodically put the soul inside kris body, then take it out immediately and put it inside the cage
@@Firefly256 im not sure if it will work the way you think it would, i dont think you will just have to use the soul and immediately put it back in the cage, i think there would be a set amount of time where you have to keep the soul before putting it back, or kris is only available to that power when YOU CONTROLLING goes to bed, leaving kris without anyone to control him, but though this is denied by chapter 2 where kris puts his soul in a bath room cabinet, so i think this will only occur during late afternoons or midnight.
Absolute masterpiece
Very interesting lyrics. Hopefully we learn what they mean in future chapters. Right now, here are my thoughts:
“When the light is running low, and the shadows start to grow” could be a reference to the Roaring (“When the light is subsumed by shadow”) or Entry #17 (“Dark, darker, yet darker”).
“And the places that you know seem like fantasy” seems to refer to dark worlds in general, since they take real-world places and objects and turn them into fantasy worlds with magical beings.
Beyond that, I’m not sure. The “light inside your soul” line could be a reference to the areas where bullets are fired at you in the overworld, where Kris’ body goes dark and your soul lights up, but “shining in the cold” is completely stumping me.

The light inside your soul could also mean your determination and you're ability to load / reset ( The white / yellow star you use as a checkpoint.)
