      Because we live in a democratic country. This is not Al Qaeda or a barbaric country. Every person is innocent until proven guilty and the time and place to prove that is in court. He has the right to be heard and to present evidence, just like the prosecution does, if he doesn't want to take a plea deal.

    This would be me, if my friends EVER told me that they have committed a horrible crime such as this….they ALL KNOW THAT I AM SINGING LIKE A CANARY….you will be going to jail alone….     I watched Joseph testify today, and he couldn’t even muster up fake tears while discussing what he did to Emily. He is crying for himself while Lemons is testifying here, and Joseph deserves to feel ashamed. Great testimony, here. I can’t imagine this hasn’t impacted the lives of Spencer and his family and wish them space to heal as much as possible. Rest in power, sweet Emily. 💜💜

    I wonder how many courtroom cases I still will see whereby the prosecution, in an authoritative rather than friendly voice, requests witnesses to speak up. Even to the extent that the witness immediately seems to be intimidated.

    My parents escaped Hungary during the 1956 revolution and ended up in Toronto…. My dad was an altruistic, new Canadian and one day he decided to pick up a hitchhiker. He started telling my father that he had just been released from prison so when my dad (luckily) saw a police station up ahead he pulled over and told him to get out. I’m still proud of him…he died in 2014 and I miss him every single day💔

    The defence attorney overplays by trying to get him to say he did not think Ferlazzo would ever be able to do that. She should have left it at him saying he was surprised. Juries do not like it when attorney's overplay as it makes them skeptical of what the attorney says in future.
