I have been using P100S150LPC300 on my F1 Ultra with 1 pass only. The results are great. For few mugs I had to do a cleanup pass to lighten the color by changing the speed to 300. Chuck method all the time to secure that precious focus.
Great video and thanks for sharing. What if you worked with a local pottery and engraved the mugs before glazing? Keep in mind, I don't know squat about pottery.
Great video! I would hope that Xtool could have all promised features ready to go for the 4k price tag. So far, the Ultra seems to be coming up short on batching, conveyor, curved surface, camera, etc. I'm confident that these issues will be corrected over time via software, but again, 4k for beta?
The most recent update to the XCS software (V2.1.2) for the xTool F1 Ultra now has the curved material function. Will you be doing a video on how to us it?
Is there a Reference Sheet or other resource that could give a general sense of how long embossing with the F1 Ultra for different materials would be about? I know this is a big question but I'm looking into viability for a project and any reference or other materials discussing embossing times for materials would be very helpful.
They really need to release the 3d mapping for this. I have accidentally messed a few Mugs by making them too large. I guess ill have to use the chuck for now.
Maybe 3d print bigger chuck jaws, or an insert for that planter specifically so it can go on the chuck? The rollers just aren't repeatable, but the chuck does okay.
You said curved engraving will be coming soon to the f1 ultra. Will that be a software update if purchased before or will you have to buy a new part or an entire updated machine? And I love my creative fabrica!
Q: Are ceramics exclusive to a fiber laser or can you use a CO2 /Diode for them as well? Maybe a new video idea- using your 4 Lasers showing project materials that can be made on all 4 down to exclusive to “x” type machine. 🤷♂️ Thanks for the SVG affiliate link. Always looking for new files for my OneFinity - you’re crushing it. Keep going!
I’m not sure. There’s so many variations with settings. I had only seen styles like this done with a fiber and got these great results. Love the video idea!
Nick, I’m a huge fan, I watch all your videos. I have ran into the slippage issue on double runs on tumblers a couple of months ago. Thought I would post this to help you and others, I looked online everywhere for a solution, and so I just came up with this myself and it works with Build Dad Build adapter(my other favorite Nick😂). Enjoy your videos. Have you tried Veronica mugs with your F1?
Very useful video
Thanks
Where to buy ceramic mugs for engraving?

OMG, I went to Camp Orkila in 6th grade. Great camp., thanks for showing them some love.
So cool!
I noticed that you did not change the frequency in the IR set up (was set to 30). I believe this can go up to 60. This may help with the ceramics.

What was your method for lining up your engraving with the handle when using the rotary attachment?
They really need to release the 3d mapping for this. I have accidentally messed a few Mugs by making them too large. I guess ill have to use the chuck for now.
Do you seal the ceramic after the engraving? Are they microwave safe after?
Would this work on concrete all vessels as well?

Great idea
Have you tried engraving terra cotta with the f1 ultra?
You said curved engraving will be coming soon to the f1 ultra. Will that be a software update if purchased before or will you have to buy a new part or an entire updated machine? And I love my creative fabrica!
Just a software update! Easy fix. They’ve posted some more updates recently and I think the software update is really close.
Do you need to coat the bare ceramic after you’re done?
you definitely need to coat it because will build mold over time
can we do this work with xtool f1 ?
If you used the rotary with the mug, it should get the end of the mug better
For sure. I got great results with the rotary.
Every video I watch I want one more.
It’s pretty amazing!
