- I've swatched all the jelly and special effects polish I received at an Essie event in Central London last month (Feb 2024).
We got to make rings too (at The Ringsmiths; OXO Tower), which was great and I can't wait to get mine back in April!
I noticed after I did the swatch that Cheeky Jelly wasn't part of the PR we received on the day, but I had been sent it previously, as part of a Valentine's PR package...Comment if you want to see that one and I'll upload it as a Short!

They really are! I think Ink Jelly is best if you wanted to do nail art...it could look good on top of some black or deep red nail design; giving that vampy feel 🖤
I got a load of Essie topcoats, basecoats and polishes. The best Matte polish I've ever used is the Essie Cashmere "Skip" 13.5ml polish! This matte Essie went on plump and dried instantly! Lush! The 5ml mini Essie polishes were thin and 5ml Mint Candy and the 5ml Blanc white wouldn't dry down properly, my Essie polish was all chipped and lumpy! Annoying ! Fix up Essie!
2 coats obviously and 2 coats of the Here to Stay basecoat and 3 coats of the brilliant strengthening Essie "No Chips" topcoat!
Nailtek 2 nail treatment was good but my nails tips began to break! With the Essie "Here" basecoat my nails are VERY toughest, no chip nails or breaks! Im growing my long nails back!
Essie is economical ! Bought Seche Vite Quick dry nail topcoat, and will get Quick Dry nail polish drops, hate waiting for nail polish to dry! UK 23.3.24 🇬🇧
I know it can be a pain waiting for it to dry...I've recently bought Morgan Taylor's Accel Erate Quick Dry Nail Spray and it works well, but I've got a feeling it causes some shrinkage at the the free edge!
Genuinely curious - does anyone know if these, or ingredients, were tested on animals? Or if from any animal ingredients?
In all honesty I don't know about this range and their main range, but I do know they launched a vegan range which is cruelty free and has no animal derivatives and isn't tested on animals; it's called Love by Essie
