So now thanks to you all my dreams finally came true, I'm so happy I got to see it's mightyness and grandeur because of our technology and sweet people such as yourselves who love to film and can. Thanks Doug

What wonderful memories your video brought back to me of our visit here. The refurbishment looks great. Our kulala was the one right on the end. I see they have added wooden walkways and lights. Had to use a torch to get back from the dining room through shifting sand so thats an added bonus. The outside bed used to be up on the top deck which was fabulous to see the Milky Way - above was a myriad of stars in the unpolluted skies complemented by shooting stars - just breathtaking. The drive up from Swak is a boneshaking ride along those gravel roads but so worth it to experience the worlds oldest desert region and this lodge. Make sure the tank is full and you carry spare tyres and spades. A trip I still remember like yesterday. Watching ostriches walk pass the kulala first thing in the morning was an eye opener. The sundowner up on the ridge to watch that sun go down was magical as was the balloon ride -not to be missed. Up early to experience a drive along the dry Auab riverbed to climb one of the red dunes ( Dune 45 ) to watch the sunrise followed by a breakfast on white linen tablecloths under under the shade of a local tree at the base of the dune. The Dead Vlei ( clay pan ) was sureal. The guides here are very knowledgeable Once you have experienced a Wilderness Safari nothing else compares. The company do a lot to rehabilitate the area -they have dropped the fences separating KWR and the Namib Rand Nature reserve and as such the wildlife has returned. This was a life changing journey for me. Namibia is a rare jewel in the African landscape often overlooked by its neighbours but its a country I would highly recommend to your followers.
Thank you once again for posting

Little Kulala speaks to me in the same way that North Island does, but with a completely different setting. The wildlife is amazing. Sleeping outside under the stars like I used to do when I was young--also amazing. If it's all the same to you, I'll skip the nightime scorpion hunt, even if it is my astrological sign ;) Sometimes I think back to the 10-minute videos you used to do, and as charming as they were, there is no comparison to the mad skillz you have developed since then. Thank you, Dr. LTE, for this Nimibia trip of a lifetime! Looking forward to our hot air balloon ride next week.

What a stunningly beautiful place, with very comfortable lodgings. From having lived in the High Desert in California, I know it takes a day or two before your non-desert eyes start to pick up the subtleties of color and shading which are so wonderful in a desert. You mention it briefly, but I was really bummed that there weren't star-gazing activities. The night sky there had to have been absolutely mind-blowingly amazing. Thank you so much for your videos - I've been 'traveling' with you quite extensively this week :) I don't want to actually go anywhere, I'm totally a homebody, but I'm glad you are doing it and letting me come along. Thank you!

i like the rocks and sand surrounding the location..i like that it has a fully open concept to the property. In terms of security, how do they attempt this? I like that they have used a lot of natural things from the area..this is good so that it gives the property a totally unspoiled look and natural feel when you're there. the accommodation has a simple look to it but this blends very with all that they have done with the whole property itself...nice work.
