This project, and the one before as well, are the culmination of years and years of Mica and Matt delicately honing their craft and creating their own uniquely beautiful and catchy sound. I genuinely cannot wait for their future releases. In my eyes, unless they're global superstars, they'll forever be criminally underrated.
The originality and creativity here is just remarkable - excelling in terms of visuals (naturally), instrumentation, melodies, lyricism; a well-rounded package, one continuous product of art. addendum: EXO is so damn banging

You can hear all the influences from indie pop and alt rock it’s insane, EXO screams St Vincent, Wandering Eyes gives major Tennis vibes, but it’s all so original at the same time. Magdalena Bay is a breath of fresh air in a nostalgic world.

Bookending this shit with Slug Song/Reprise creates a CRAZY feeling of anticipation and then finality. Regardless of its length, I might genuinely call this project close to perfect.
