      The biggest issue is when somebody says "but how does it calculate that number". Unfortunately, you then need an advanced statistics degree to understand the algorithm.

    @ExcelOffTheGrid can this be used for non revenue data...eg. number of patients seen monthly by a hospital over time?

      Yes, it can. It works with any numbers which have a cyclical nature.
