Awesome stuff! So glad you made another video of the hopper. I could listen to the balde slams all day haha, does it ever get annoying hearing it all day though?

Haha, you're in interesting person that enjoys listening slamming blade :)
It actually does annoy you and it's very loud. That's why you yave to wear a ear plugs. Over time it will damage your hearing.

@@trashtrekkertv the Durapack body is the only one I know of with a slamming balde that's why I think it's cool. I can imagine hearing it all day could be bad for your hearing. No wonder a lot of my drivers wear those ear plugs.

Yep, not only the blade, engine and everything is pretty loud and it takes a tall on our hearing.

Great video bro, found your channel a few days ago and been hooked since, how do you like the python compared to other trucks? My local municipality just ordered about a dozen of these trucks, I’m pretty sure they pack a lot more compared to other trucks right?

I am super happy to have you here too. Thanks for the kind word.
Python is the automated arm that Heil makes if I am not mistaken. I really like working with Heil Python ASL's. They're fast and reliable. Only down side I heard is the price compared to their competitors. Heard it costs upward to 25K part alone. Regarding garbage truck bodies, my experience is primarily limited to Heil, New Way, and McNeilus. Personally, I find working with Heil bodies to be highly preferable. They are designed to be more user-friendly and easier to operate, with control switches and levers conveniently located, especially on the rear end loader trucks. As for the packing capabilities, I am not sure which brand performs better. Unless there are significant differences in cubic yard capacity, the brand alone shouldn't make a huge impact because I can tell you that the trucks from the same brand, same specification can pack differently. Various factors, such as the truck's age and its parts and components, may contribute to this variation. Just last week, my main pump quit on me, and a brand new PTO was installed in my truck. Suddenly, I was able to pack an entire extra ton of recyclables every load. I am talking about packed out at 5.5 ton to 6.5 tons now. That's huge difference to me.
Hope I answered your question and sorry if it was way too long.

@@trashtrekkertv no worries thanks for the long response! I was just curious as to why a lot of garbage companies/cities are buying pythons now, I always thought they were harder to operate than say a mcneilus autoreach, which my city has been operating since the early 2000’s. Now I here they’re exclusively buying heil truck bodies, which caught me off guard because we have a lot of multi family properties now with long cart lines , and resident never space their carts three feet apart, so I wonder how the drivers will manage. Also I heard the average route is huge here, between 1200-1400 stops a day, that’s why I asked if theses trucks are able to pack more as that would minimize the workday. Just curiosity got the best of me and I never get the chance to speak to a driver in the industry, thank you!

@@drank__4077 While I cannot say the comparative ease or difficulty of operation of different ASL's out there, I can say that once you become familiar with it, Python is definitely a fast and dependable solution. It boasts an advertised time of under 8 seconds for reach-grab, lift, dump, and release cycle, which I can verify as accurate. As an illustration, my Monday route have little over 1000 houses to service, and I manage to complete the task in approximately 5 hours. That's 200 cans in hour.
