If I'm paying for a lift techy stuff with weird rocks and well made skinnies is the definition of a good day for me. High speed jump trails, especially in crowded bike parks make me uncomfortable I hate going fast around unknown strangers...
Personally I love to ride thru woods or up on the hills not on actual made mtb trails but making my own up as I go along, seeking out those natural hidden features such as slabs, root covered sections and rock gardens. But I also like mixed trails or mixing up from one trail to another. Got to have variety keep it interesting 😊
I think larger berm corners are so much fun. The ones I struggle with at my local park are the much smaller ones about a bike length and about 2 feet high on a descending switch back trail. I stopped and ran it a few times but couldn't figure out the right line and speed.
I think Rich is a former pro? Either way I like the approachable style and well articulated points that Rich brings to us weekend warriors. His body position is faultless in this video. Only thing they missed was hip rotation and pointing the knees towards the exit of the berm.
Do you prefer a smooth flow trail? Or tech? Let us know! 👇

Flow 99.9 percent of the time
I like a mix of both, but more flow as the afternoon wears on.
Love flow tech
"Right" and "Wrong" Ritch are brilliant additions, very effective technique demonstration! Please keep them coming
Thanks! Will do!
This was very educational, "Right" and "Wrong" Rich for the win!
Glad we could help!
i could hit berms more consistantly if there were any within a 2 hour drive😂
Sounds like its time to move home! 🤘
@@gmbn i did build some berms locally but the wicked n unfun forestry people destroyed them.. ce la vie!
@@fugoogle9757 that's my life from 1995 to 2005, we built ish up to have it destroyed by the "dog people" ... Happily war is over nowadays 😂

Holy crap the editing was do helpful pausing the riser ehole hes next to them explaining..amazingly helpful!!!
I'm pushing back on the even feet. Inside knee up gives me a better center of gravity where I can keep speed up confidently.
Me too
Those are beautiful, wide, smooth berms.
Nice Work👍
actually good
Great vid, something to try on the trails next time I’m out
Go for it and let us know the difference!
Will do,😊
Great tips, I'll have to try to lean more 😉
Flow trails are fun but you got to get you some tech to keep it interesting 😊
Thanks for the video. Where are you riding?
The Forest of Dean 🌳
im 1000th like 😅😝
👍

👍
Push so hard against a berm last week I went though it. Definitely went way quicker…. To the hospital
I made a "S" twin berm out of ice in the backyard, I'm usually ejected at the second one when I get in too hot 😂
Easily done! Keep practicing 🤘
Because it's ice. You need to get in cold!
I hit trees more consistently
They're always jumping in the way aren't they!
he will hit you right in the screen 😂
dirt berms are rad. timber berms freak me out. don't know why
I feel personally attacked
@@drewlogan4341 haha please explain
Don't do what wrong Rich does.
We won't be bringing him for the next video 🤙
How many pro riders or former pros work at GMBN and we got this guy? 😂
