the *_"teenage love triangle"_* is speculated to be *august, betty & cardigan* (sequence of events in that order). august is from the other girl's pov, talking about the summer with james. the lyrics "whispers of are you sure", "meet me behind the mall" (implying she's being hidden by james), "cause you were never mine", and "'cause you weren't mine to lose" matches with the context of james cheating on betty with this other girl. cut to the song betty, which is from james' perspective: "would you trust me if i told you it was just a summer thing?" parallels the line "so much for summer love and saying 'us'" and "will you call when you're back at school" in august. the same way the line "she pulled up like a figment of my worst intentions, she said "james, get in, let's drive" those days turned into nights slept next to her, but i dreamt of you all summer long" in the song parallels this line "remember when i pulled up and said 'get in the car'" from august. "standing in your cardigan" shows up by the end of betty too. and then finally we have cardigan, which is from betty's point of view. assuming this is years in the future, by the words "when you are young they assume you know nothing" almost wistfully. the song has a very bitter and dejected vibe, the cheating narrative being driven home with the line "chase two girls, lose the one". james and inez (name mentioned in betty) are also blake lively and ryan reynolds' kids but make of that what you will. nope i didnt write this but, *the complexity*
Sorry for my english, but I think it's Illicit Affair instead of Cardigan, mostly because of the fact that Cardigan wasn't written with Jack, like August and Betty were. But then it would be August from Betty's pov, Betty from James's pov and Illicit Affair from the other's girl pov.
Illicit affair is also Inez pov and like exile may be about James and Betty. Exile is James seeing Betty years later, maybe even after cardigan. She's happy and with someone else. Someone said and for me it makes total sense: exile is what they thought when they saw each other years later. All the things that they were wanting to say to each other but in the end didn't.
Listening to peace really broke my heart for her. She is talking about how she always has all this drama in her life and how even if she doesn’t want it, it just follows her. And here is Joe this very chill low profile guy with no drama and she worries is my drama too much for you? I can give you my everything and all of me but I can’t promise that there will ever be peace in my life. I hope that it’s not too much for you. I think she’s being super vulnerable showing us an insecurity she has and that sometimes it’s hard always being in the spotlight.
When I listened to Peace I felt heartbroken too, idk if it's true but I remember seeing a comment telling that apparently in one of Taylor's secret sessions she mentioned one time that when she's on her break she gained her weight back (after her eating disorder) and she was spotted by a paparazzi on a gym, then they're shaming her weight. After that she's just so depressed that she wondered if Joe will be alright with her when there's all these rumors and media around their life, so she ask Joe to break up with her, but Joe refused. I'm just thankful that Joe is such a great guy and hopefully both of them can be together forever because they compliment each other so well.
Tenshio Natari well now I’m crying 😭 It breaks my heart to know she goes through that kind of stuff al the time. I hate we live in such a cruel world. I love them together so much. I really hope they do last forever. He is such an upstanding, good guy.
My top tracks are: - exile - my tears ricochet - august - hoax - this is me trying - illicit affair - invisible string the whole album is a new experience and the songwriting is the best she’s ever done... and vocals, wow...
Folklore is definitely a beautiful story of a Woman in love A granddaughter’s memory A lady’s responsibility Woman alone in lockdown Girl’s ruined fantasy Teenager’s memory & lesson How hard is to grow up? Uncertainties of in twenties Woman’s maturity Learn woman / Daughter’s knowledge Female celebrity (stigma) Mad woman Peace of mind Godmother’s teaching How a strong lady be Broken love #TaylorSwift #Folklore
The way it was a surprise works really well too like if she announced it months ago and released singles we would have to anticipate it throughout quarantine and having nothing to do, but it’s like in a time with not a lot of good news we suddenly have something good to think about
“For the boys who broke my heart, now I send their babies presents” might be a reference to Joe Jonas 🤔🤔 and the song ‘mad woman’ a reference to Kim and Kanye? More specifically the line “it’s obvious that wanting me dead has really brought you two together” 🤔
c I think “a great American dynasty” is the only song about Rebekah (the owner of Taylor’s house as you probably know. what does her divorce have to do with the love triangle 😅). I read that mad woman is about Scott but it could also be about kimye.
i don’t think that line is referring to Kim and Kanye since Kim had no reason at all to hate Taylor before dating Kanye, she even said that she loved her music or something like that in an old video. I think that line is about Scott and Scooter but only Taylor knows haha
The 1= better man The last american dynasty= the lucky one Exile= The last time Seven= never grow up Illicit affair= sad beautiful tragic They have the same vibe
I kinda wondered as I listened if some of the songs on this album were ones she wrote and loved and was told she couldn't do them because they didn't fit her 'sound', and now she's able to do what she wants so shes gone over old poems and writings and evolved them.
The fact once (or still is I'm not sure) Kanye fan is reacting to Taylor Swift album on the day Kanye releases his album too just speaks legends of Taylor
Don't know if someone pointed this out, but in the Lover house, just below the attic, there is a room with the color scheme that matches folklore's aesthetic. And would ya know, that room has a clothing rack with CARDIGANS on it. On a side note, I think Exile is about a dysfunctional relationship with communication issues. *_I think I've seen this film before and I didn't like the ending_* could signify that the woman had been in an abusive relationship in the past and decided to walk away this time before she could get hurt. On the other side, the guy has dated women in the past and they left him too without telling him why. So he never changed and is left confused as to why they all left. the contrast between *_You never gave a warning sign_* and *_I gave so many signs_* is very telling that she thought he knew what he was doing, when in fact he was oblivious and genuinely doesn't know what he did wrong. So communicate with your partner, people. Just my interpretation.
for the lover room thing i think that really cool but a coincidence since she said she didn’t even start writing till april! but I think it’s still cool to think about!
@@emilylohnes. Maybe she decided later to write a song that was a nod to that room? You know, like in Blank Space where she made the clicking noise with her mouth and then later changed it to a pen while recording? I'm just speculating here. It is a defining characteristic of this fandom 😂
Anyone else feel like whatever you're going through, Taylor follows through with an album chronicling that phase? -1989 I was moving out on my own -Rep I went through the worst breakup and went into a dark lipstick/bad reputation but eventually finding love phase -lover, finding and embracing the love I've found -folklore, I just want whimsical tunes and woodsy/Hozier vibes that I can listen to while drinking my coffee, clacking away on a typewriter and watering my plants 😂
There is a love triangle story in three of the songs. Cardigan- Betty’s perspective Betty- The guy’s perspective (James) August- The girl’s who he cheated with perspective (I think, but it all makes sense when you listen to it)
According to Taylor's post, the songs were about the images she had in her mind during isolation, they started as poetry until she started creating stories of those characters she had in mind. I have read some comments from fellow Swifties about a love triangle which I believe haha: Cardigan - Betty's point of view August- the girl she cheated with Betty - point of view of James (the one who loves betty)
I found this out last night, but basically “the last great American dynasty” tells the story of Rebekah Harkness (night of spelled her name wrong) who owned her Rhode Island house. Some things she mentions that are true is, “trying to keep her mind off of st louis” Rebekah was born in St. Louis. “Bill was the heir to the standard oil name and money” I researched her husband while she lived there and his name is William Harkness but one family history site had “Bill” as his nickname and he also had a large share with standard oil. “How did a middle class divorcée do it” she was divorced several times before marrying “Bill”. “They picked out a home and called it holiday house” this refers to the house that is now owned by Taylor in Rhode Island. “The doctor had told him [bill] to settle down. It must of been her fault his heart gave out” this refers to how her husband died, which was from a heart attack in their home. “Flew in al the bitch pack friends from the city” she actually had a group that she started called “The Bitch Pack”. “Blew through the money on the boys and the ballet” she eventually started her own ballet company and for awhile had rehearsal at her “holiday house”. “Loosing on card game bets with Dali” Dali is the artist that designed and made her urn for her ashes when she died. The only thing I haven’t found evidence for if it really was said/happened or not is the part where she says “she stole his dog and dyed it key lime green”. And then 50 years later, it was bought by Taylor.
Also I read on a fan page that Rebekah actually did steal her neighbors pet and dye it green but it wasn’t a dog, it was a cat. I can’t remember the fan page or I would credit it
I kinda understand you with this journey for TS8. And to tell you honestly I did hope or more like expect for the banger / heavy production since we have jack and jack is a legend in pop. And so on my initial listen, it kind of throw me off guard. But then lyrics got me. And when i put my head phones on, it took me to every different moods and vibes. And I just fell in love with folklore. This is indeed a new era. And every era is a fresh masterpiece. To TS8 everyone 🥂
Not at all! It also reminds me of out of the woods (the bridge). I think it’s because all of these songs are produced by Jack. They have his fingermark.
TRACK 5 "my tears ricochet" IS MY FAVOURITE, i get goosebumps at the bridge when she says "you can aim for my heart, go for blood... but you would still miss me in your bones". 😩✨ It gives me "someday when you leave me I bet these memories follow you around" Wildest Dreams vibes, i swear every track 5 hits me like a train, but thank u taylor 🤍
Great comparison there! I didn't think of that. It's my favorite track too. My favorite part is the final chorus, when she sings, "and the battleships will sink beneath the waves." It's so deeply moving.
Yep! It's also about Taylor's grandfather and his experience in the war. The first verse is more about the war, and the second verse is about the current pandemic. The way she connects the two together is brilliant
I got tears in my eyes when I heard the second verse. "Doc, I think she's crashing out" is sung with so much grief and intensity, and it's a direct reference to the pandemic 😪
As a rep stan I love this album. I don’t think folklore is better than rep but definitly better than others. Btw my top 5 1-my tears ricochet 2-exile 3-cardigan 4-august 5-the 1
Nah Folklore is the best album in her catalogue. This album demonstrated the scope and depth of her artistic skill. Some of the greatest songs she has ever written.
@@jens2449 I'm sorry it's just funny to me how Rep stans don't like folklore. That is on being brainwashed into thinking good music can only be basic pop crap. Also just because one genre isn't mainstream doesn't mean it's automatically "not good" please that's so ignorant. Recognize art when it is worthy to be recognized.
This is a total story album. She started with imagery and vibes and went from there. Not all of these stories are hers. Not all of them are even real people. You can see all about this on her social media.
I really like Steve in the stereo. His reactions are pure gold, he cry in a lot of songs, he's a huge fan and doesn't like Kanye anymore, in his reaction to this album wears RED merch, says he has all Taylor's albums andddd he's thinking getting a tattoo of Taylor ✨💗
This album is a dream come true. It’s what I’ve wanted since Safe and Sound and Enchanted and that one time she covered White Blank Page. While my previous top 3 albums were Reputation, 1989 and Lover, this is more my style and it’s perfect.
i love this album of her cause i think she finally jumped into the indie/alternative side of music, her voice sounds so sweet and soft for this genre and it’s something i’ve been wanting from her since she did Wildest Dreams and This Love on 1989. great reaction!
The only song I cried to was the 1st minute of "epiphany" My grandpa was in WW II and so was Taylor's grandpa. As I'm sure it was the same with Archie Swift my grandpa also saw stuff that he just couldn't talk about. "Keep your helmet keep your life son" was something that soldiers where told before storming the beaches and having to crawl through the sand to the trenches. Yes obviously the rest of the song is about nurses and doctors dealing with this pandemic.
The fact that this album was a surprise album, yet it is this cohesive - it didn't disappoint. And this album was created in a short span of time, in her isolation in this pandemic, and it is this GREAT. How much more Taylor releasing new album in a monthly basis. UGGGHHH! THE ARTISTRY IS 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
To answer your question about the stringed instrument in Invisible String, Aaron Dessner said on Twitter that the instrument he used was an old silvertone guitar with a rubber bridge (from Old Style Guitars in LA) and that's why it sounds so interesting! It's one of my favorite songs on the album.
I feel like Exile is a nod to both The Last Time and If This Was A Movie because the lyrics say “I think I’ve seen this film before and I didn’t like the ending.” Taylor sings “I didn’t like the ending” in the exact same tone and melody as “baby what about the ending?” In ITWAM 😭 I love this album so much! My faves are: Exile Betty August Cardigan My Tears Ricochet Invisible String
this album is insane. i ended up buying the deluxe version on her website and also ordered a sweater. my favorites from listening to it the first time around are seven, august, invisible string and betty
I've never been so hooked on a song as I am for Exile, its hitting me so deep and i can't explain it but that one song has been on repeat for the last hour and I've never done that with a song before
She tells the premises of most of the songs in one of her Instagram posts from yesterday. Most of them aren't about her, they are other people's stories or characters she made up. Hence, the title "Folklore"
YOU GUYS MAY DISAGREE WITH ME BUT AUGUST IS A STUNNINGLY GENIUS TRACK IN THIS ALBUM. I have been playing 100 times and I won’t ever, ever get tired with it. This album for me, is the best she ever released, it’s hard for me to put Red as number two but what would I say? Folklore is that album you’ll listen 20 years later and still sounds harmonious. It’s a timeless record, I smell Grammy on this.
1. The 1 2. Betty 3. Cardigan 4. Seven 5. Invisible string But what is so beautiful and stellar about Taylor's music is that I know these will completely change. The entire album is just the most whimsical, sentimental and true depiction of Taylor's soul.
So just as an insight into the album. The whole album is about different themes explored through the perspectives of three people in a love triangle. So there's Rebekah harkness also known as betty who's perspective is explored in cardigan and is basically is kinda the protagonist of this story. She has a boyfriend who cheats on her with another girl, who's name we don't know. The guy is James. So the person with whom James cheated with-their perspective is explored in the song august and later James's perspective in the song betty. The song great American dynasty gives an insight into how the public saw James and Betty's relationship. The reason these people, especially Rebekah is chosen as the people whose story Taylor is exploring is because Rebekah harkness actually lived in the same house/mansion Taylor bought in Rhode Island (in 2013). So the album is folklore because these stories about these people have been passed down through facts, gossips and talks in the town and she is passing it to us through these songs. Sorry for such a long comment, this is both my interpretation and some bits and pieces I found on twitter.
@@c573 cardigan is also Rebekah's perspective, also proved by the fact that she (Taylor) references the word cardigan again in betty. A lot of songs, while not directly, have themes that reflect Rebekah's perspective, so it's not just one.

I like this
Illicit affair is also Inez pov and like exile may be about James and Betty.
Exile is James seeing Betty years later, maybe even after cardigan. She's happy and with someone else.
Someone said and for me it makes total sense: exile is what they thought when they saw each other years later. All the things that they were wanting to say to each other but in the end didn't.
@@yassalvess taylor swift mentioned only 3 songs are about the love triangle and according to most theories those are cardigan betty and august
The perfect comment doesn’t exi-
why did I cry with this comment????
This ALBUM IS TOO MATURE for me to understand
I feel ya
SAME
same and i’m 19
Yeah, it's a very complicated piece of art and I think this absolutely deserves a Grammy just for the amazing lyrics
Mochanran Nangsha Ikr. But I do understand some, like Betty 😅
My top tracks are:
- exile
- my tears ricochet
- august
- hoax
- this is me trying
- illicit affair
- invisible string
the whole album is a new experience and the songwriting is the best she’s ever done... and vocals, wow...
Right now I think my two favorites are Mirror ball and epiphany
Don't disrespect Betty like that 😭
13wonderland I love “Betty” and still trying to figure out the Love Triangle in songs Taylor said were hidden as Easter eggs
Exile, August, and Hoax have some real singles potential.
My fav tracks are 1-16
Folklore is definitely a beautiful story of a

Peace of mind
Godmother’s teaching
How a strong lady be
Broken love
#TaylorSwift #Folklore
Am I the only one that notices that his clothes always fits the album cover and album aesthetic? Love ur reaction man ❤️
Epiphany is like a song for the situation during this pandemic.
Yes! For the first responders perhaps. That's what I got from it.
Yep! It's also about her grandfather's experience in the war, and the way she connects the two is genius
i thought that too. when i did research i found out its her grandfather’s experience from the war!
It's beautiful that it works for both.
I love how he is already sooo into TS's world, he's always quoting her others songs and seeing references
I just love it

the font goes with the aesthetic of folklore. thank you so much! 😌
Thank youuu
the effort ♡
Thank you aaaaa
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!!!💕💕
I appreciate this album not being so hype, cause that's just not what the majority of us are feeling at the moment.
The way it was a surprise works really well too like if she announced it months ago and released singles we would have to anticipate it throughout quarantine and having nothing to do, but it’s like in a time with not a lot of good news we suddenly have something good to think about
No one:
Literally no one:
Fabrizio: “here from *auntie taylor* “
I laughed so hard when he said that😆😆
“For the boys who broke my heart, now I send their babies presents” might be a reference to Joe Jonas 🤔🤔 and the song ‘mad woman’ a reference to Kim and Kanye? More specifically the line “it’s obvious that wanting me dead has really brought you two together” 🤔
it’s probably not about kimye
Yeah I read a comment somewhere saying mad woman is about scott and scooter
c I think “a great American dynasty” is the only song about Rebekah (the owner of Taylor’s house as you probably know. what does her divorce have to do with the love triangle 😅).
Brisa Canadé true, didn’t think about that 😅
The 1= better man
The last american dynasty= the lucky one
Exile= The last time
Seven= never grow up
Illicit affair= sad beautiful tragic
They have the same vibe
The lucky one and the last American dynasty gave the exact same vibe I loved it
oooh yes
Yesss
@@annieherondale5707 it reminded me of Starlight because of the story
I kinda wondered as I listened if some of the songs on this album were ones she wrote and loved and was told she couldn't do them because they didn't fit her 'sound', and now she's able to do what she wants so shes gone over old poems and writings and evolved them.
The fact once (or still is I'm not sure) Kanye fan is reacting to Taylor Swift album on the day Kanye releases his album too just speaks legends of Taylor
He did not
Kanye delayed his album. Hahahah... Tayvodoo is doing the work
Don't know if someone pointed this out, but in the Lover house, just below the attic, there is a room with the color scheme that matches folklore's aesthetic.
It is a defining characteristic of this fandom 😂
casually cruel ya that could make sense
He hasn't reacted to the Lover MV yet. He just got to 1989.
Anyone else feel like whatever you're going through, Taylor follows through with an album chronicling that phase?
-1989 I was moving out on my own
-Rep I went through the worst breakup and went into a dark lipstick/bad reputation but eventually finding love phase
-lover, finding and embracing the love I've found
-folklore, I just want whimsical tunes and woodsy/Hozier vibes that I can listen to while drinking my coffee, clacking away on a typewriter and watering my plants 😂
Yeeeeees!!!!
Can't relate to any break up or finding her kind of love, however, all somehow relates. reputation and folklore reflect my emotional states though
Same!!!!!
YESSS! Mainly folklore, I’ve been listening to so much Hozier and folk music lately and now she drops this! It’s a blessing ✨
@@beatrizcarrico6613 right? Just waiting for Hoziers new album now! Our forest king 🤴
Can you IMAGINE a collab??
Ok but the way she says "hush!" in mirrorball literally made my heart skip a beat
Me too!! It's so pretty.
There is a love triangle story in three of the songs.
Cardigan- Betty’s perspective
Betty- The guy’s perspective (James)
August- The girl’s who he cheated with perspective
(I think, but it all makes sense when you listen to it)
i thought illicit affairs was the girl who he cheated with’s perspective
amelia no illicit affairs is more of a third party’s perspective on the love triangle
there’s so much to talk about in this but the lyrics connect this 3 so much ITS PERFECT SHES A GENIUSSSSSS
@@c573 But she says about not putting on the perfume so his girl doesn't smell it. That is from the other women's perspective.
sarahelizaf no it’s what a third party (for example: taylor) says about the affair
Huge tone shift from what she’s previously done. We love a girl who can do everything
This album feels like gray skies and rain early on an August morning, before anyone else is awake.
fabrizio salerno 🤝 steven in stereo
being the only taylor swift reactors i care about

Include Ajayll!!!
@@ariblue17g21 Of course!!!
Surreality22992 TASTE!!!!
YES 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Seeing them both turn into swifties has been so heartwarming
I didn’t even realize that seven and August were the 7. and 8. track 🤦♀️
According to Taylor's post, the songs were about the images she had in her mind during isolation, they started as poetry until she started creating stories of those characters she had in mind. I have read some comments from fellow Swifties about a love triangle which I believe haha:
Cardigan - Betty's point of view
August- the girl she cheated with
Betty - point of view of James (the one who loves betty)
I thought that James cheated with the girl
I heard one about how the entire album is about the story of Betty
@@rufflypuppy1144 he did but he loved Betty
@@ElectricSnivy yeah for me it seems that TLGAD is also about Betty
And also illicit affairs sounds kind of how it was to cheat on Betty
Thank you for doing all this research, I appreciate it!
Ima female oh no problem it was really interesting
Kimberlie Garcia wow, thanks this had me very interested
Also I read on a fan page that Rebekah actually did steal her neighbors pet and dye it green but it wasn’t a dog, it was a cat. I can’t remember the fan page or I would credit it
Kimberlie Garcia Yeah, I read that too. I think Taylor changed it to dog bc she’s a cat person?😂
She's like the Tolkien of romantic pop...There is so much intricacy and richness behind her songs!
I stopped my second listen through of folklore to smash the watch button on this video
SAME!!!
I stopped my fifth listen lol
I immediately looked up your social like “DOES FABRIZIO KNOW YET?!”
My favourites are Betty, Invisible String, Mad Woman, August and Exile.
Same!!
I also like cardigan!
Same
Literally the same
@casually cruel well it might change 😂 cornelia street wasn't my favourite until this month
I still go "WHAAAAT?" whenever she swears.
"August" has Getaway Car and Cornelia Street vibes. Is it just me? Okay, just me. haha.
Yes!! It’s one of my favs!!!
DBATC!!!
Not at all! It also reminds me of out of the woods (the bridge). I think it’s because all of these songs are produced by Jack. They have his fingermark.
its so nostalgic and farmiliar like old stories you've heard a thousand times before. this album is crazy timeless and im obsessed.
It just came out, how could it be timeless 😂
Betty is literally a more detailed version of how you get the girl!!
Only if you think in hygtg he cheated aswell
I love epiphany, to me it’s like the doctors and nurses during COVID and they dream about finding a cure, wishing they could help their patients
The doctors and nurses are like soldiers...
Dude I've been waiting for this!
I may say that this album was the best thing that happened this 2020
"Here, from Auntie Taylor" 😂
~ Fabrizio, 2020
It's another genre switch. Welcome to Indie Folk genre Fabrizio 💙

Yessssssss
As a rep stan I love this album. I don’t think folklore is better than rep but definitly better than others.
Btw my top 5
1-my tears ricochet
2-exile
3-cardigan
4-august
5-the 1
Same, this is like my number 2 album
SAME i love reputation so so much
Nah Folklore is the best album in her catalogue. This album demonstrated the scope and depth of her artistic skill. Some of the greatest songs she has ever written.
As a Rep fan, I kinda hate this album ngl
@@jens2449 I'm sorry it's just funny to me how Rep stans don't like folklore. That is on being brainwashed into thinking good music can only be basic pop crap. Also just because one genre isn't mainstream doesn't mean it's automatically "not good" please that's so ignorant. Recognize art when it is worthy to be recognized.
In Invisible String the line: "now I send their babies presents" is about her ex Joe Jonas and his wife Sophie Turner who are expecting.
Man, I cried hearing this album for the first time. It's such mature sound and I just couldn't be prouder. It's a goddamn masterpiece.
folklore is safe and sound family, safe and sound belongs to this album. 😭😭
I really feel this.
My top 5: Cardigan, Mad Woman, Exile, Hoax and Epiphany. I’m a rep stan and this has become my second favourite album.
same here!
This is a total story album. She started with imagery and vibes and went from there. Not all of these stories are hers. Not all of them are even real people. You can see all about this on her social media.
Me listening to folklore:man i love this (also me) I hope Fabrizio is listening and fangirling over his first album release experience
Fabrizio and Ajayll are the only reactions that matter
And that’s is the tea 😌
I really like Steve in the stereo.
His reactions are pure gold, he cry in a lot of songs, he's a huge fan and doesn't like Kanye anymore, in his reaction to this album wears RED merch, says he has all Taylor's albums andddd he's thinking getting a tattoo of Taylor ✨💗

This album is a dream come true. It’s what I’ve wanted since Safe and Sound and Enchanted and that one time she covered White Blank Page. While my previous top 3 albums were Reputation, 1989 and Lover, this is more my style and it’s perfect.
This glowup we’ve gotten to witness is my literal favorite thing.
i love this album of her cause i think she finally jumped into the indie/alternative side of music, her voice sounds so sweet and soft for this genre and it’s something i’ve been wanting from her since she did Wildest Dreams and This Love on 1989. great reaction!
Top songs rn are: the 1,Cardigan!!, August!!, Illicit affairs, Invisible string,Betty, Peace!!
same but i need to keep listening!
The only song I cried to was the 1st minute of "epiphany"
My grandpa was in WW II and so was Taylor's grandpa.
UGGGHHH! THE ARTISTRY IS 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
I WAS WAITING FOR THISSS, AAAAAAH, YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY TRANSFORMED INTO A SWIFTIE🥺❤️
I love that he can't go 5 minutes without referencing another song of hers

I feel like Exile is a nod to both The Last Time and If This Was A Movie because the lyrics say “I think I’ve seen this film before and I didn’t like the ending.” Taylor sings “I didn’t like the ending” in the exact same tone and melody as “baby what about the ending?” In ITWAM 😭 I love this album so much! My faves are:
Exile

August
Cardigan
My Tears Ricochet
Invisible String
I realized the “if this was a movie” tidbit like a week ago and I was so excited!
YEEEEEEESSSSS
Also, am I the only one who STILL hasn't have a proper 8 hours of sleep? I'm a wreck rn.
Taylor Swift is the only person I know who can swear aesthetically
this album is insane. i ended up buying the deluxe version on her website and also ordered a sweater. my favorites from listening to it the first time around are seven, august, invisible string and betty
I've never been so hooked on a song as I am for Exile, its hitting me so deep and i can't explain it but that one song has been on repeat for the last hour and I've never done that with a song before
Invisible String was my favorite! Also, shoutout to Fabrizio for color coordinating his outfit for this special occasion 🤩
She tells the premises of most of the songs in one of her Instagram posts from yesterday. Most of them aren't about her, they are other people's stories or characters she made up. Hence, the title "Folklore"
I am a huuuuge Tay fan, & you are the first person I thought of when I heard the news 😂 Absolutely love your reaction vids
Never came so fast. I only begged so much thanks 😭😭😭
Who doesn’t like August? Like you just can’t. It’s perfect
1. The 1
2. Betty
3. Cardigan
4. Seven
5. Invisible string
But what is so beautiful and stellar about Taylor's music is that I know these will completely change.
Thank you so much for this!!! 💕💕💕
@@c573 cardigan is also Rebekah's perspective, also proved by the fact that she (Taylor) references the word cardigan again in betty.
A lot of songs, while not directly, have themes that reflect Rebekah's perspective, so it's not just one.
Thanks
Track 3 is the story of her Rhodes island house!
