- November 15, 2014 - Finally got my Batman Classic 1966 TV series Blu-ray Collection Set in and it's a wonderful piece! For $175 it was a bit pricy, but for the fans who have been waiting long enough, it's a small price to pay for some classic remastered nostalgia! The collection comes with all 3 seasons, collectible booklets, trading cards, and Hot Wheels Batmobile replica all wrapped up in a great collectible box!

Thanks for showing a good look at the Hot Wheels Batmobile. None of the other videos I saw did a good job showing it off, and I personally think this is the ace in the hole of this limited edition set. The cards are cool, but the Batmobile itself is the real perk.
Fantastic deal for the money, Marlo :) I love the goodies it came with as well :) The cards are beautiful! I remember I used to have the Hotwheels batmobile from the first movie back when I was a kid :D Im so getting this series on DVD :)
Yes, I hope you can get them for your collection on DVD! I'm not sure about the region coding on them as discussed before, but hopefully you'll be okay! The extras are really cool too!

King Tut was on the back of the season 2 case and the two on the back of the case of Season 3 happen to be Commissioner Gordon & Chief O'Hara at the beach.
I noticed that the episode guide seems to be organized a little bit differently than in the DVDs release.
It's nice, and we have been waiting on this for forever..but still, I think i'll wait for the inevitable sale. Thanks for the review though!

This is awesome to see..they really gave you your moneys worth on the Batman blu ray set! I really want this set and see how it looks remastered. I'll cross my fingers to see if the price goes down after black friday.
I haven't really looked around for better prices on this set, but for $175 I was satisfied with all that I got. Hopefully you were able to score one set too!

Kev! I hope you caught Kai's comment about the Australian sale price of $160. Amazon is good about cancellations if you decide to hold off for now and pick up the set at the sale price. I got mine for $175 which wasn't too bad as the set retails for over $200 I think. Anyways, it's a great classic set that's a long long time in the making and it'll be awesome to see the episodes again after all these years, and in HG! Just awesome! :)

this is on my Christmas list from my Dad next to a PS4 1tb Darth Vader limited edition console, Batman Arkham Knight and the trilogy on 360, the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 1 & 2 boxset collectors edition ones, the Justice League animated movies, Dark Knight Returns Part 1 & 2, LEGO Marvel Superheroes PS4, LEGO Batman 1-3 360, LEGO Lord of the Rings & LEGO the Hobbit & Shadow of Mordor PS4, and LEGO Dimensions PS4, Injustice Gods Among Us, New 52 all completed volumes of each characters & teams, and some Comic Book issues :) (btw is this set region free and any of the DC animated original movies (mainly the Justice League animated ones) on blu ray region free too?) (ya big list lol :P) also The Killing Joke too (just if the value rises up after the animated movie gets released)

Im planning on getting the Batman Boxset I have two questions to asked you let's say Warner Brothers wanted to put the original 1966 version of the Batman series on 4k how would they be able to do that and on the Boxset do they have the narrator giving next week episode with the villains.
Yes I use to buy the cards when I was a kid. They were 5 cents a pack came with gunny that was awful.

I'm going for "The Classic Collection" on the Warner Bros. set. It's 100 dollars, on DVD, includes the first two seasons, the movie, a documentary, a script, and a letter from Adam West. Looks like the better deal to me, honestly.
I don't know... For $175, you get the better sound and HD quality of bluray, all 120 espisodes instead of 64, a nice collector box, collectible cards, booklet, hot wheel batmobile car and several bonus documentaries as well. The bluray movie has been out for awhile and I've seen it at Walmart for about $7.
Such a great looking set! Might wait to see if I can grab it at a discount price during xmas sales.
EDIT: Just saw it for preorder at one of Australia's biggest bluray retailers for AUD$160!! That's a pretty good price for this set considering what it's going for overseas!

@@MarlotheCollector Hey Marlo I have been watching the Batman series all weekend on Decades and it's not as good in syndication or reruns due to the scenes being cut anyway I have a question on the Blu-ray version of the series does William Dozier the man that narrates every episode is him announcing next week villain on the Blu-ray just asking
how many episodes is on each blu ray disc.
Nice review. That hot wheels batmobile is 1/50 scale. Hot Wheels made most of the movie batmobiles in that scale. The mattel warehouse store here in San Bernardino has them all. Hey those wouldn't be surgical scissors your using are they. Looks like mayo scissors
Not sure if I ever replied to this comment, but thanks for the info on the Batmobile. I guess the other one I had on card would be 1/64 scale then? I'm not sure which is more common, but it was cool seeing there were different scales of these made. The scissors are indeed surgical or medical scissors! I love them as they have stayed sharp since I bought them and have used them often through the years!

Thanks for the heads up on this! I didn't know about corrected disc offer, so I've gone ahead and put in my request! To tell you the truth, I haven't even had time to watch any of the discs yet and they're all still sitting in the box. Oh boy..! Anyways, thanks again for the heads up!

I think the Dark Knight would be the best Batman movie so far, but I do have very special and fond memories of the Batman 1989 movie as it was a big deal back then and I was still in high school very excited about a serious take on Batman! The movie didn't disappoint and of course went on to be a big phenomenon! :)

+chris leclaire Yeah, I wasn't sure how limited it would be, but as a big fan, I had to buy it as soon as it came out! I've since seen it for as low as maybe $100, but oh well..! Can't be too concerned with the price as either way, it's a great set and a must have for any fan..!
+emarae .... i wonder in the slimmed down version with out the car/cards and stuff it has all been corrected of the deleted scenes by mistake?? i wanna get it but now i'm nervous, i loved this as a kid in the 80's! along with incredible hulk 5 seasons and movies after it...do you know of any info in regards to what i've said? if the slim down complete series has the deleted stuff? i think it would be a trivial thing to wait for replacements and they shoulda been recalled i think then, i wanna order mine from amazon, before i blow my cash on more TPB comics! of the punisher stuff and daredevil miller books....
+John Peisithanatos To be honest, I'm in a different place right now as I've been preparing for a big family move overseas. I've been in limbo just waiting for a buyer for our home so we can get on with our move, so all my stuff has been packed away in storage and my collecting has almost completely stopped. I haven't really been out there, so I didn't even know there was a slimmed down version available. Since it is a later release, I would imagine that all the corrections have been made and included in this newer set. I had to request for the corrected discs and it was cool of them to send them out for free. Hopefully you might be able to find more of that info you need elsewhere online..?

I asked Sideshow and they said they have no info from HT so they have no idea what's going on with that project. It sucks cause I was really looking forward to it and it might be a canceled project after they had everybody going about it. At least I got the Blu Ray set so at least I can enjoy those episodes again. Did you move to the P.I yet?
***** No, still in California, but my wife has been in the Philippines since October and will hopefully return this month. I'll have to hear what she says about things there and then make plans for our move if we're going to do that. I'm guessing we'll make the move before the end of this year if all goes as planned.
