Your videos are an inspiration for me, they helped me to decide between the 1/60 alto version when i was on the verge of buying the 1/100, made me sooo much more happy, please keep this videos up! :D
If you're experienced with Gundam kits, I highly recommend it. I got this one last year in Hong Kong and assembled it non-stop in my hotel room (no glue or paint and just using a nail cutter to remove the parts off the runner) in 3 hours. Right now, I'm working on my VF-25S Super Messiah. Since this kit is very decal-heavy, I recommend using the water-slide decals and having A LOT of patience.
It's a good model kit, also hardest kit I've built so far due to the number of small parts and extensive decal work. But it's worth the effort. If you like the VF-25S then I think you'd like the kit.
I just finished assembling the Alto version of this recently, it's a damn nice kit, though one thing you'll want to watch out for is the tab that holds the hip joint in place for Battroid. Mine snapped after a couple transformations so I can only have it in Gerwalk or fighter mode now :(
@AntiBlast That's part of what's different. The figure looks the same in all three scales, but transforms in different ways. The 1/72 scale is a lot of hard work to build and the reason I haven't reviewed it is because I haven't finished building it. Also the 1/72 isn't meant to be a toy and the plastic can bend easily, its meant to be built and displayed. Best all round one for playing & value is a half price 1/100.
Would you believe I'm still actually building this! About 95% done, just one more decal and then the canopy. I was going to use masking tape + black paint .
Thank's for your review ! It's a really nice model kit. I have atlo and ozma 1/72 and I like them. I now waiting for the lucas custom with his 3 ghost :D
Just about, have 2 more decal to apply and it's ready for a Semi-gloss top coat. I'll post a review in July. I'm waiting to do it with the VF-25 Armor Parts.
I'm getting the Alto and will see what it's like before making up my mind. I also like Transformer Binal Techs and they're in the same price range so will be expecting them to be up to that standard.
I plan to put together a review over the weekend. But was hoping to have the 1/72 scale completed to show people all three scales so they can see which they like the look of most. Don't want to rush it just to be first, as next thing you know I'll be buying stole Chinese toys.
@AntiBlast The VF-25 doesn't come in 1/48. Only the three sizes I told you about. They are mostly the same, there are small details different because of the different scales but effectively they are the same.
@TheStephenShow It's weak, just need to be careful not to us too much force. I've slightly damaged the arm of this be I applied too much force when it was stuck.
where is the review of the constructed model kit? It would be great to see it whole. Its quite expensive but am willing to spend if it looks great in your video review
@dalesolo82 The smaller the number the bigger the scale. 1/48 = 1 divided by 48 1/60 = 1 divided by 60...etc So 1/48 biggest, then 1/60 and smallest 1/72
same here i was jus wonderin if ye wanted to hang out r sumtin seeing as you like the same stuff as me lyk u cud show me were to get the models and kits an stuff
@Wizartar but 1/72 no need to fix right? i dont really care about the cost i only wan the best of of what i can get since it just 1 time so i dont to anyhow buy and regret it later on
but 1/100 you need to take out the parts and trasnform right? i think if i cant really get 1/60 i just get 1/72 and leave it to my cousin anyway it all trasnform right?
you dont need to understand Japanese to build it. just look at the pictures. i've been a gunpla builders for almost 15 years and didnt understand japanese at all.
but 1/100 you need to take out the parts and trasnform right? i think if i cant really get 1/60 i just get 1/72 and leave it to my cousin anyway it all trasnform right?

Thanks for the tips, am about 1/3 of the way there now, hope to get it completed over the weekend.
I want this so bad...
It's gonna be decal-tastic!
@MacrossAbyss no screws, but it does have one metal bar required to strengthen part of the model for transformation.
It's a good model kit, also hardest kit I've built so far due to the number of small parts and extensive decal work. But it's worth the effort. If you like the VF-25S then I think you'd like the kit.
Yes, the kit comes with both stickers and water-slide decals. Both sheets have the exact same markings and emblems.
For decals you get both stickers and waterslids.

It very nice, nicest of the three scales. Hope to do a full review at some point.

Thank's for your review !

Cool, that's good to know! so far I've just completed the canopy.

I'm with you on the decalling, complete pain!
But as for the 1/72 I like it a lot, but have to be very careful as the plastic can be weak in places.
Haven't forgotten about it, I'm just easily distracted hope to get to it soon.
I'm getting the Alto and will see what it's like before making up my mind. I also like Transformer Binal Techs and they're in the same price range so will be expecting them to be up to that standard.
Just got mine yesterday and haven't really had a chance to take a good look at it. Too busy with A-01 Prime.
(fixed typos)

I will, but haven't had time to complete the decalling yet.
@AntiBlast The VF-25 doesn't come in 1/48. Only the three sizes I told you about. They are mostly the same, there are small details different because of the different scales but effectively they are the same.
i recommend you use masking fluid...good luck with the canopy
@TheStephenShow It's weak, just need to be careful not to us too much force. I've slightly damaged the arm of this be I applied too much force when it was stuck.
Even unpainted I;d love to see a review of this bad boy. So very tempted to get the super packs and Michael's unit ^__^
thank god finally ill be waiting thanks :)
There is a 1/60 it's due in February.
I haven't built one, but it should be as good as the VF-25S
I always want to get this but the only available in my place is the armored one.
where is the review of the constructed model kit? It would be great to see it whole. Its quite expensive but am willing to spend if it looks great in your video review
I gave up something people call "A Life" and spend all me money on plasic.
mainly the landing gear doors on the bottom of the nose. Mine falls off and on the right side if u facing it, it broke in half.
@JavierV87 It depends on what you need help with, ask and if I can help I will.
@AntiBlast There is 1/100 and 1/60 version that are just toys and not a model kit
I'm still putting the decals on...
I'm still in the process of building this and have been looking out for good spots to dab a little super-glue. Any particular problem areas?
@AntiBlast For me it's 1/72, 1/60, then 1/100... if you can get the 1/100 for half price its OK IMO. HLJ had it on sale last time I checked.
I'm working on it! :)
I've never watched Macross but i really like their mecha designs. Do you also recomend the Alto Custom?
@dalesolo82 The smaller the number the bigger the scale.
1/48 = 1 divided by 48
1/60 = 1 divided by 60...etc
So 1/48 biggest, then 1/60 and smallest 1/72
if yo have built this model could you please do a review of him, im really wanting to know more about these model kits. thank you.
@Wizartar But it not really transforming since you have to take out the part i guess the better it is it more expensive
@Wizartar When the 1/72 is fully built, is the plastic good, though?
Did you paint the cockpit canopy or did you just leave it as a clear plastic?i am trying to paint it with panel line markers...you think it will work?
same here i was jus wonderin if ye wanted to hang out r sumtin seeing as you like the same stuff as me lyk u cud show me were to get the models and kits an stuff
Checkout the 1/100 VF-25F review I've uploaded. It appears fully constructed in that video without either decals or paint.
are you done yet :(
would you get the macross frontier koenig monster and review it
Think I'll leave the build it on camera to the professionals, like Mr 2Old4Toys.
@Wizartarn then what is 1/72? and do model kit and transform?
@Wizartar but 1/72 no need to fix right? i dont really care about the cost i only wan the best of of what i can get since it just 1 time so i dont to anyhow buy and regret it later on
what the bigger scale 1\72 or 1\60 or 1\48 of the three as i would to buy one asap
@Wizartar can you explain 1/60 or 1/100 better?
1/48 and 1/72 is there a diff??
Do you suggest i get this for my next model kit?
1/48 and 1/72 is there any diffrent then others since 1/60 may be out of my budget.
fun kit to build but parts falling all over during transformation.
@Wizartar Yours must have been a defect.
btw VF and YF any diff so far the diff i spot is YF is like small leg while VF is a big stylish leg which i like it
So it comes with stickers and decals?
but 1/100 you need to take out the parts and trasnform right? i think if i cant really get 1/60 i just get 1/72 and leave it to my cousin anyway it all trasnform right?
actually the plastic was fragile especially on the wings area.
ooo build and review plz
No painting, at most panel lines.
@AntiBlast All three transform
Dublin XD and that's about as specific as I'll be!
well i knew you were irish by your acent but then wen you sed slanté i thot it was obvious so were in ireland do ya live ??
is there a version that you no need to fix sorta lazy and dont have the time xD
you dont need to understand Japanese to build it. just look at the pictures. i've been a gunpla builders for almost 15 years and didnt understand japanese at all.
sorry i using abit of broken english
LoL, nothing worse then a cheesy groin! XD
LoL XD
but 1/100 you need to take out the parts and trasnform right? i think if i cant really get 1/60 i just get 1/72 and leave it to my cousin anyway it all trasnform right?
