    Just read a comment asking "would the army really care if someone cheats on their wife"...For those wondering, yes they really care. If you get caught cheating you're getting a court martial. Probably get demoted at least. Could be dishonorably discharged, lose your pay, and even be locked up for a year. So yes. It is a great big deal.

    • @iAstra
      @iAstra Год назад +7

      I knew that they cared, but would you please explain to me why they care so much? I'm not American, btw.

    • @urmaker
      @urmaker  Год назад +71

      Adultery is a crime in some states. The consider marrage a legally binding contract. It is very rare for someone to get charges for it. But, as the person here commented, the military is different.
      You don't necessarily get a court marshall. You will most likely get an article 15. Which, in most cases, results in extra duty, half your pay taken away, and getting demoted. Pretty much the same if you smoke weed.
      There is a saying in the military. "You can trust them with your money and your life, but never your wife."
      We actually had a guy I served with sleep with someone's wife and get her prego. He got in trouble. I guess the biggest reason would be intergity and respect. You need to count on your battle buddy having your back at all times. Him banging your wife would ruin that trust.

    The whole Murdough case was a rollercoaster on its own. From the very beginning, it reminded me of a true crime thriller you'd only read in a book or see in a Lifetime movie ((no irony that Lifetime made a movie of this already)), and just when you thought there wasn't anything else, it gives like an onion. Goes to show that no one is invincible.

    • @dmreddragon6
      @dmreddragon6 Год назад

      Yeah Murdaugh had spun out of cintrol. Had he not been shown as a crook to the public, and burnt important bridges, oh and sought concil before talking. He likely would've gotten away with the murders.
      Things fell as was suposed to.

    I have heard of case #3 and it just makes me mad. From my understanding her diary was missing or pages from her diary were missing.
    You have neighbors that dispute the time they heard gunshots, the sheriff is declaring her dead before anyone says she is dead, the doctors say she couldn’t have shot herself in the way it was done, plus shot herself twice, psychiatrists say she isn’t suicidal and yet the cops ignore all of that? She did everything that was asked of her. There was no proof she was a danger to the kids yet they were taken from her.
    He is found to be lying but nothing happens to him. He is abusing the kids and is said shouldn’t be around them. What about Jessica? Did she ever regain custody? I thought I heard his family had the kids? And that would just be another tragic thing to happen to Jessica.

    So basically he didn't get in trouble with the last case for attempted murder. Thats sad. The only good thing that came out of it was she survived. Also he can no longer see the children anymore cuz people saw that he was a child abuser. The other police officer got in trouble as well which is also a good thing. Also she wasn't able to get full custody of the children because I remember she had to see the children once a week for four hours with police presence. When he got caught in the children got taken out of his household out of his care they went to who? A family member? Did they go back with the mother or did she still have to get visitation rights with a police officer just to see her own children like before? I mean that's more than what he gets with the children cuz he gets nothing to do with the children anymore. At least he gets known for being a child abuser so like his reputation got tarnished that way. I mean it's sad he didn't get caught for what he did to his children's mother but still everyone now sees him as a child abuser and should never be around children. So does this mean everyone's going to keep believing that both the children's parents are bad? We have a little bit of unanswered questions here. They left us when a bit of a cliffhanger. We don't know what the outcome with the children really is.

    Matthew got away with MURDER and it is disgusting that he's still able to be a police officer.

    Dang it man, I love this channel so much, but the background music is always the same in every upload and it gets so unbearable cuz I have to listen thru earbuds. I wish there was no music. I can’t listen anymore. It’s just too loud and gets in the way of narration. 😢 😔
