Another Brilliant Coverage of Magical, traditional, Classical & Colourful life of these interior towns & cities of Incredible India. There is always so much happening.. This is One of the best series, I have ever seen.
Gabriel takes us to a different point in time when hinduism was deeply ingrained in the ethos of India. Perhaps it is his aura,or his knowledge and the manner in which he articulates it. Thank you for the amazing six weeks in India❤
12:52 The Narmada Parikrama is a 3,500 km walk around the entire length of the river 17:02 The walk is done with the river on the right 17:55 Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 4, Verse 5, 6, 7. The last one being the most famous in the present time Krishna says to Arjuna ""Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and an increase in unrighteousness, at that time I manifest myself on earth.
Gabriel thamks for this great impession of the Holy Town of Omkareshwar. Before I watched this i've watched a video from luxury cars in London and teh difference couldn't have been bigger!
How sharp a contrast between the desert landscape & the many vibrant colors of the market, reminiscent of the myriad of local spices! Says a lot about the Indian culture 😊. A great walk as always, thank you!
Hi Gabriel, I'm in Ujjain, following your earlier footsteps. Been here a few days arriving in time to catch the Shiva Festival... totally amazing of course! Heading to Omkareshwar tomorrow so just refreshing myself here... Thanks for being my guide...it looks like more Incredible India coming! Best wishes to you. 🙏🏻
Hi Gabriel, a wonderful trip really getting into seeing more every time you visit and seeing things you haven't seen and people pointing out what you should see. I bet since you first visited India it has grown immensely and changed proportionally all over the country it must be one of the fastest-growing countries in the world. India has a very diverse culture a blending of past and present with many advances as the country changes and grows exponentially. A beautiful and rewarding place with boundless energy and excitement.
Dear Gabriel - the Narmada is very sacred to many, and your endeavor is deeply meaningful. The Narmada hydroelectric project has seen a resistance movement which is ongoing for some 30 years. Narmada Bachao Andolan (Save the Narmada Movement). Only 2 months ago the raised water levels inundated villages downstream...this is an ongoing nightmare for the people. Eyesore indeed, and more...
You sure have picked up a lot of information in your travels. I met a few people that taught me a little. And you are teaching me more and reminding me of those I have met through the years. Overall, your video was really good for me today. Thank you.
Great video, Gabe. We just arrived in Ahmedabad and are loving it so far, a huge contrast to Varanasi in terms of traffic, pollution etc and we’re excited to explore. Ate at the night market yesterday evening, which was epic. The monkey-goat interaction reminds me that those interspecies relationships are not always so benign. On Sandwip Island in Bangladesh I stayed at an inn where there was a monkey chained to a tree in the courtyard. The oppressed had become an oppressor, as he had somehow grabbed a cat and was using the poor animal for his gratification. Disturbing!
Hello Gabriel You had a lot of fun in India 👍 A bit of explanation to the words Maheshwar and Omkareshwar.... God in sanskrit means Eshwar The great one means Maha. So Maheshwar means The Great God. Omkar means Om sound. And hence Omkareshwar means God of Om sound. Lord Shiva is referred to as Omkareshwar. Looking forward to your new adventures in a new country.....
@@angelawhitehead6187 "Kar" comes from the word Aakar, meaning 'form' In this context, it means the deity having the form of Om. Lord Ganesha (Son of Lord Shiva) is also referred to as Omkara. But Omkareshwar is another name for Lord Shiva.
This has been an incredible 6 week adventure. I have WATCHED and LOVED every single video you have posted from this series. Some I have watched more than once. An amazing variety of videos to showcase everything that India has to offer. I’m curious about where you’re headed next. It’s probably a very slim chance, but I’m secretly hoping for Nepal?!? Wherever you go, safe travels and thank you as always for this awesome and AMAZING travel channel! ❤️🩷❤️
Mr Gabriel, the signs (carved in red sand stone) which you saw all along Parikrama Path (Circumambulation way) contain verses of "Holy Gita", sacred book of Hindus
Another place to explore, interesting island, those monkeys 🐒 omg lol, you are brave 👏 i would have passed only with an Indian person and with my eyes closed.
Them street monkeys chilling out on the path was absolutely awesome. No monkeying around there. 😂 no way… monkeys and goats sharing dinner😮 this is a place where I need to be right now. ❤
Back in 2012, I stayed a couple of weeks at the anandamayii ma ashram on the island of omkareshwar. Its an authentic place indeed, though the massive dam on narmada is a doozie. I remember bang lassie being sold on the mainland side of town and the only other western traveler was a russian lady with an x-visa living in India with a 100 dollar allowance from her relatives.
Another great vid, thanks Gabriel, you are the eyes and ears of thousands of subscribers. Thank you bud. When are you going to rest and put your feet up back home ? You deserve to rest man! 😊😊😊
Nice video of Omkareshwar. You are leaving India soon Gabriel. You may be going back to America as Christmas is around the corner and you want to be with your family. Hope you come back soon to India to explore new places
I think those people with grains were actually "pilgrims". they basically go around the river Narmada. starting from where the river started and going where the river ends in the sea. they don't take anything with them, so they solicit for food.
Hello Gabe, if you are reading this your india videos are just mind blowing. Just want to say, thank you so much for this amazing content that you keep bringing for us. And Just a bit curious to know have you been to Odisha state yet?
Odisha is where Konark - that I mentioned in my other post - is . If you get chance , do the Puri -> Konark -> Bhubaneshwar triangle - you will not regret it. Bhubaneshwar is well connected by air to most large cities.
Do the people bathe in their clothing Gabe? Is this the only place they can and is there sewage in the water? The children are so friendly and the monkeys pretty much take over the place. It must be a tough existence for many. Ty for the adventure
6 weeks is too little time for India, you need few months each visit. Have a look at Orchha in MP, looks beautiful.
