Their first album, Transmissions, is one the greatest albums I've ever heard. Not a single bad song on it. And the pacing is great. You have high energy songs mixed with slower and beautiful songs, and the way they incorporate the orchestra makes it feel like a soundtrack to a sci-fi epic! I highly recommend giving it a listen
If you're a fan of the futuristic/Sci-Fi theme, you'll love STARSET. They incorporate mainstream elements like Synth, Pop, and Electronics into Rock, Metal, and Djent. The albums they've released so far (Transmissions, Vessels, and DIVISIONS) all follow a really deep and complex story that might be a little overwhelming because it's so deep, but the same goes for the story like their music: If you're a Sci-Fi fan, you'll most likely like the story. The albums also switch genres, so let me give you a breakdown of each: Transmissions is Rock fused with Electronic. Vessels is heavier and is more Metal with Pop. DIVISIONS is Rock/Metal/Djent with lots of Synth elements incorporated into it. *Side note: Apparently HORIZONS (the new album) is a sister album to DIVISIONS, so expect a lot of similarities. I'm sorry for the long comment, but I hope this clarifies some questions about the band for you. Awesome reaction dude! ❤
I’ve been head over heels for this band ever since they came out. Every album of theirs is top notch amazing for their own reasons. They’ve all had very emotional and at times spiritual impacts on me as I got into them. Starset Messenger for LIFE! 🚀
Many people say Transmissions was their best album, I'd say it was Vessels. That album is such a banger, that I have to reccomend it under this video. Have a nice day Pogdan.
Transmissions is fantastic (I’d say My Demons is a masterpiece of its own) but Vessels is otherworldly. My favorite part about it is that as opposed to how music albums usually are, Vessels is built like one long, multifaceted song with separate arcs. Vessels is such a great listen, especially as the whole album.
Vessels is definitely their best, it doesn't have a single song that doesn't qualify as a masterpiece (even Ricochet, Last To Fall and Telepathic, my 3 least favourites on the album, are absolute bangers).
Starset is a rabbit hole you will not be disappointed in falling down. For other songs to check out, I’d suggest My Demons, Monster, Ricochet, Manifest, Trials and Infected, the last of which was done in collaboration with the mobile game Arknights. The video is a continuation of a lore they’ve been building up pretty much throughout their existence, the first noticeable appearance of the lore they’ve been building up was in the 2nd album, Vessels, but their debut album Transmissions definitely built the foundation for both the group and the lore that Dustin and the rest of the guys have been working on.
Now that you're on board, I think full album reactions (Transmissions, Vessels and Divisions in that order) are in order before the new album drops... They are such a fun journey!!!
Vessels is one of the best albums I've ever heard, musically and conceptually. Is perfection! ❤️ And yes, there's a lore. All Startset's albums have a story that fluctuates between sci-fi concepts and relationship/love themes.
Wonderful reaction! Starset is actually my favorite band of all time. They have the best live experience I have ever seen, focusing on not only music, but an awesome story, performance, and show. I think the reason why this band sticks out more than other bands for a lot of us is a combination of a few different elements. Starset's music is simple by nature, but it gets enhanced by the incorporation and mix of both strings and synths. On top of this, the lyrical content is always good because of their use of Sci-Fi. What other band would have a song about something called "Perfect Machine" or even using the word "Breach"? Lastly, Dustin Bates, the lead vocalist, doesn't just sing, he manufactures the music. He has a heavy hand in the production and mixing of the album, along with creating both the lyrical content, instrumentals, and obviously the vocals. He is literally the whole package. Also, his voice is beautiful, obviously this song didn't show it off, but he has a very unique scream that so many people have come to love. So recommendation time. First off, the main song you should listen to is from their first album Transmissions, this song is MY DEMONS. This is their most popular song off of any record. After you listen to this song, I would actually listen to their lead single of their Sophmore album Vessels and the lead single of the sister album to this album releasing soon, Divisions. These singles are MONSTER and MANIFEST respectfully. Monster is closer in sound to My Demons, but Manifest is closer in sound to The Breach, and I would say all of the songs except Monster give you a good idea about the sound for the rest of the album. After you look at all the lead singles, I think RICOCHET (from Vessels) is required. It's a fan favorite for many fans, and it is Starset at their most mature. After this, I would recommend TELEKINETIC (from Divisions). I know you love heavy, and this song features a solid breakdown. After those two, I'll just give you recommendations from each album. TRANSMISSIONS: The album is the most spacey and sci-fi of them all. CARNIVORE, IT HAS BEGUN (second most popular song, and very sci-fi influenced), and POINT OF NO RETURN VESSELS: Most likely the fan-favorite album. Nearly every fan chooses this as their favorite, probably because it was heavier both lyrically and thematically. FREQUENCY (no reason, it's just my favorite song from them), DIE FOR YOU (popular), BRINGING IT DOWN, and EVERGLOW (because it's very different) DIVISIONS: A very different album compared to the previous two. This is what Horizons will probably be closest to. ECHO, PERFECT MACHINE (again, it's just one I love), TRIALS, OTHER WORLDS THEN THESE, and DIVING BELL (this is a VERY different song).
Starset is a concept band that incorporates many influences among the Rock/Pop spectrum into what they call 'Cinematic Rock' Their debut album 'Transmissions' is an introduction to the story, it feels like a movie turned into an album, for the sound It's reminiscent of bands like Breaking Benjamin with a lot of strings and ambiance. Their second album 'Vessels' follows Transmissions concept story with less cinematic elements to it, the sound is softer and heavier (Weird to explain but it is like that) at the same time with a good pop switch to it, it is more difficult to get into because of the length (more than an hour), but it's totally worth it, easily one of the best rock albums of the decade. Their third album 'Divisions' is a change in many ways, the rock elements are more accentuated alongside with the electronics, I'd say is the less memorable of the three but it have some fantastic tracks and cool moments on it. That's pretty much everything so far EDIT: I forgot to mention it but this guy have S I C K screams.
Imo thats are songs that you definitely should listen to: "Monster" and "Unbecoming" (good solid songs overall and overall sound of the band) Bringing it down and Telekinetic (heavier songs by them) My Demons (most popular song) "Back to Earth" and "Were the Skies ends" (two of my favorite songs)
Starset is secretly everybody's favorite band, you really should listen to all 3 albums on your own time and then do a full reaction to the new album when it drops 🤘😁🤘
Starset is very unique sci-fi rock/metal, with amazing vocals and melodies. Love their concepts, very thought through. Highly recommended band, love them!
Starset is one of the most underrated bands. Their style is pretty unique and a great adventure through each album. Their music making has changed with each album, however, the essence is still there. Their first album Transmissions is DEFINITELY a must listen.
Once upon a time before Transmissions blew up....I was having weekly conversations with Dustin on Facebook Messenger just shooting the shit. Really cool down to earth dude. I continue to be impressed with the sounds, textures, melodies and themes. Hits you right in the soft spot if you are a technology geek and into music. After those convos with Dustin I know exactly why I like Starset and why I will continue to.
I LOVE Starset!! I saw them live and got VIP and they were so kind. Their sound is a sci fi cinematic rock and takes you to another world. If you want to hear more from them, check out Vessels, Transmissions, and Divisions. Have an awesome day and best of luck getting to 60k, I know we will!
This is a very very very promising direction for them... That chorus is just a beauty....and combining with those new groove parts .....it's just another level comparing to their previous stuff.... And that breakdown....mamamia.... I hope this is the direction that we see in this album...
YESSSSS!!! Finally the band that I found in their first few weeks of being together, I LOVE them. Check out Telekinetic it has a PHAT breakdown. Also yeah theyre a space themed band with a whole story about spreading information on how to save the world with their own comic, upcoming book and a concept that has been 1 long story through all 3 of their albums
I think you'll really enjoy Telekinetic, definitely the heaviest song they've put out as of late. They're generally like an electronic hard rock band but they like to pull out a few surprises every now and then.
Glad you found this band. They’re great live too as they bring the same cinematic experience to the stage. What a great teaser for this upcoming album! My vote for checking out older Starset is “WHERE THE SKIES END” or “Bringing It Down”
If you want an amazing Starset experience, check out "Everglow". It encases pure beauty, tragedy, and emotion all in an album closer. One of my easiest recommended songs by this band, so glad you checked them out.
Starset is a Top 3 favorite band of mine (uploading my reaction as we speak). I highly suggest checking out their full catalog, especially the last album DIVISIONS, and to see what they are like live, watch the Manifest live video they posted last year. So good!
Wasn't expecting a Starset reaction, but I sure as hell ain't complaining. IMO, Vessels is their best album, though I know a lot of people consider Transmissions to be their best.
They have a fictional background to their songs too (in their graphic novel The Prox Transmissions) involving the "Starset Society" receiving cryptic "transmissions" from a person in a dystopian future, from a backup planet for humanity (called Prox) because Earth was nearing a sort og inhospitability due to pollution and corporatism and technology in control of everyone's lives I think. The "society" publicizes these "transmissions" through many of their MVs and songs to warn about that fictional future. The prelude to this song is "initial debriefing" which is just one of such "transmissions".
Man, Starset is one of those bands that you have to experience at least once in your lifetime, defo check out Transmissions, hands down their best album and filled to the brim with sick vocals and sci-fi concepts. Also, a MUST from Starset imo would be Manifest, Down With The Fallen and The Future is Now.
Amazing band. Been listening to them since they began. One of my favorite bands. Another one of my favorite bands which is fairly recently formed that you should really react to is ENMY. Any of their songs but their newest songs are Damn, Deciever and Lost. All bangers. Do it, you won't regret it. Lol
To explain the video: while the faces aren't familiar, the concept is. All of Divisions (the previous album) storytelling focused on the idea of Brain Machine Interfaces, in the form of those glowing dots on their temples. Those are used by the upper and middle class recreationally, but as you could see in the beginning here, they're also used to control people, and those who try to go against it are 'supplicated', basically made vegetables by their implants, which happened to the mother in the video as she went back to grab the child and put him further forward but she ended up too far back in the vehicle and thus when the supplication barrier closed halfway through the car it caught her
just a heads up but before i go on with it, great reaction. Tracklist coming to Horizons, you're welcome. 1. Unveiling The Architecture 2. The Breach 3. Otherworldly 4. Icarus 5. Earthrise 6. Leaving This World Behind 7. Devolution 8. Annihilated Love 9. Alchemy 10. Disappear 11. This Endless Endeavor 12. Symbiotic 13. Dreamcatcher 14. Tunnelvision 15. Infected 16. Something Wicked
The band is so cool. They have their own space suits, marvel comic, book, website, and storyline. Check it out you really fall down a hole. I recommend going in order so you can understand the themes. The videos and music really evolved
Starset is such a damn good rock band! Carnivore Telekinetic Bringing It Down Manifest My Demons Back To The Earth Infected There's SO many good songs from this band! You could check out any song of theirs and find something to like!
Man Starset are so amazing, you should check Ricochet by them, it's litterate chills Or My demons, it is their main hit but hell of a song Or Monster Or Die for you Or Dark on me OK just listen to Starset
The singer of this band has some sick asf screams on older songs, I don't know him too well but know Starset well enough to know that he is way underrated imo.
You should definitely check out 'down with the fallen', 'telescope', 'into the unknown', 'everglow', 'telekinetic', 'perfect machine', and every other song cause they're all awesome.
If you want to see more of the lore/world of Starset you should check the music videos for Monster, Manifest and Ricochet. If you want some songs that will be up your alley, definitely check Frequency and Telekinetic. If you want to see where everything started back in 2013, check My Demons and Down With The Fallen.
Dude that Chorus is beautiful...those vocals are crushing. Btw if u didn't listen to the new Enterprise Earth u are clearly missing out... it's now Deathcore Architects, one of the best releases this year, atleast for me.
The lead singer of this band Dustin Bates, sang for another band called Downplay, which I'm sure you've heard of. Dustin has a master's degree in Electrical Engineering and is a huge love for astronomy (hense the name, Starset) their albums have a very futuristic, electric & sci-fi theme to them all. The first album Transmissions is hard rock and full of catchy choruses, whereas their second album is a bit more metal and has a lot of Djent and Electronic music intertwined with it. The third gets even heavier at times. I'd suggest listening to Telekinetic, Frequency, Manifest, Everglow for a start. But this band has too many bangers to list.
You HAVE to check out the wretched of the earth by Elision. A phenomenal track by a band that deserves a lot more attention. I’m sure you will love it bro!
You should listen to all of their songs for sure, and if you also like acoustic versions, I'd listen for sure to Trials: reimagine (so fucking epic!), Ricochet and die for you in their acoustic versions
Dude if you like this, you should look into literally any other song that a ‘Starset’ search pops up. Everything they put out woukd be considered good as a stand-alone, but when you listen to it with a concept of the whole starset universe you’d have a new appreciation
Other song too similarity like this, is Manifest. his first single of the third album, they released before. It's very cool and the breakdown is more intense
"I assuming we're getting the continuation of the story..." Well, yes, but actually, no. Hahahahaha I recommend you if you want understand (or became much more confused 😉) to listen since Transmissions (their first album) and keep an eye on the video's story. I think this album is gonna be more like a sequel of the previous (Divisions) by looking at all the BMI (the 3 light dots in their heads) stuff. Dustin is a genius that connected perfectly good music (a mix of hard-rock, symphony and electronics), a VERY WELL written Lyrics, which touches our hearts, our minds and our souls, and some high quality cinematic videos to tell us a story about science, technology, humanity, control, freedom... This, my friends from all the world... no, from all the universe, is The Starset Society
Literally one of those few bands who actually don't have a bad song. Every Starset track is a hit
It is fucking shit from start to end.

I’ve been head over heels for this band ever since they came out. Every album of theirs is top notch amazing for their own reasons. They’ve all had very emotional and at times spiritual impacts on me as I got into them. Starset Messenger for LIFE! 🚀
@infinity i can see the other ones but spiritbox? That kinda makes me doubt haha
You’d really like Infected, Telekinetic has a nasty breakdown too
Infected is fuckin nutty

Gonna recommend Telekinetic, Unbecoming and Bringing It Down by them. They’re probably their heaviest songs so choosing one of them is your best bet

Man Starset are so amazing, you should check Ricochet by them, it's litterate chills
Or My demons, it is their main hit but hell of a song
Or Monster
Or Die for you
Or Dark on me
OK just listen to Starset
Listen to Alleviate: Die for me. They are a new band and has the lead singer from Our Mirage in the band! One of the best songs of the summer!
Turtstile - GLOW ON, such a banger album!!!
Gotta check out Gravity of You by them, it's so good
My Demons is a MUST LISTEN. In my Top 5 Favorite songs EVER
If you want to see more of the lore/world of Starset you should check the music videos for Monster, Manifest and Ricochet. If you want some songs that will be up your alley, definitely check Frequency and Telekinetic.
If you want to see where everything started back in 2013, check My Demons and Down With The Fallen.
complete mad chad
definately subscribing
Dude that Chorus is beautiful...those vocals are crushing.
Btw if u didn't listen to the new Enterprise Earth u are clearly missing out... it's now Deathcore Architects, one of the best releases this year, atleast for me.
Bringing it down original version is definitely my favorite Starset song
Frequency is a must from Starset aswell as Unbecoming
Love this reaction, I listen to a ton of heavy but love breaks with songs like this!
I really love "Starset- Everglow"
Check that out if you want to
The lead singer of this band Dustin Bates, sang for another band called Downplay, which I'm sure you've heard of.
All their songs are amazing, but It has begun, My demons and Monster are pure eargasm
You HAVE to check out the wretched of the earth by Elision. A phenomenal track by a band that deserves a lot more attention. I’m sure you will love it bro!
You need to react to their album “Vessels”
The music video wasn't over yet, the mom died
I’m surprised you haven’t reacted to any Blueshift or Memorist.. you needa get on those! Blueshift’s Voyager was my album of the year in 2020
You should listen to all of their songs for sure, and if you also like acoustic versions, I'd listen for sure to Trials: reimagine (so fucking epic!), Ricochet and die for you in their acoustic versions
IS THAT A FUC*ING SUPRA ON THE SHELF?!
My recommendations would be Into the Unknown, Other Worlds Then These, Halo, or Diving Bell!!! All phenomenal songs for sure!
Every starset song is pure perfection. One day do a react on Perfect machine please. Btw great video!
You gotta hear the other 3 albums. Ricochet, monster, die for you, my demons and carnivore are your must listens
Dude if you like this, you should look into literally any other song that a ‘Starset’ search pops up. Everything they put out woukd be considered good as a stand-alone, but when you listen to it with a concept of the whole starset universe you’d have a new appreciation
PLEASE react to their new track they just released - LEAVING THIS WORLD BEHIND - it’s SOOOO good!
The Album Vessels is Starset at its best. you can't miss though, but all 3 Albums are loaded with bangers.
Other song too similarity like this, is Manifest. his first single of the third album, they released before. It's very cool and the breakdown is more intense
Frequency and down with the fallen are amazing songs you should definitely check out
Yes!!!!
You have to see Papa Roach "Kill the noise" - quite a banger!
"I assuming we're getting the continuation of the story..."
Well, yes, but actually, no. Hahahahaha
I recommend you if you want understand (or became much more confused 😉) to listen since Transmissions (their first album) and keep an eye on the video's story.
Halo and Dark on me are too of my favorites I think you definitely should check out.
You've definitely heard "demons" by starset. Guarantee it. Also, manifest is a great song
My Demons by them is a really really great song to check out next
You've got to hear Frequency!!
Considering I have a tattoo of the vessels cover..I’d say they’re one of the greatest bands to exist. React to more plz :)
I discovered this band thanks to Luke Holland he is my fav drummer and he recorded drums for them🤩
May be next CHAOSBAY - Lonely people
Shrezzers - Noodles! check it out, they're an awesome russian band
