Awsome! Trial and error is the fun part in my opinion! I made a lot of knives that looked pretty good, but turned out to be total failure when it came to it's intended use, but ithas always been a fun process to learn about the function and compare them to bought tools, how to make it and improve it.
Beautiful job on the knife, Gary. I might suggest a tip for glueing or epoxying any blades, etc. into handles. I mask off the slot or hole with tape and after the glue/epoxy sets up, just strip the tape off leaving a clean surface around your work.
@garyhuston that would explain why there's no videos of it being made of rebar 😂 I'm on a budget so I've gotta go cheap for now. Not looking to sell yet. I like to practice on cheap metal so if I do sell it won't be with low quality material
@garyhuston oh okay. Truth be told I was expecting to need some specific kind of steel. You've been very helpful. Thank you. Here's a follow and a like 👍
@@Colt1775 I don’t sell them on I just make for myself and friends but I would use old files all day long. Properly heat treated they will out last any shop bought stuff!
Love it
i love these kinda videos
Yeas ago, I made a hook blade to trim my goat's hooves. Very handy and a lot faster than shears. Nice trick with the bag!!
GARY - you always do a really good job on everything you make**** you deserve a powerhammer sir ***
Seu canal foi o primeiro que tive contato,e sempre me alegra ver seus videos.Um abraço fraternal a sua alma.
Good fun. Thanks for showing this project to us.
Glad you enjoyed it

Nice job Gary !
Thanks!
Looks good, too.
It does!
Beautiful work
Thank you very much!
How about a Gary Huston made toeing knife next! Nicely done
Nothing to video, just a flat bar with the last couple of inches sharpened. Even I couldn’t make that interesting!😂
Great stuff again mate!
Glad you enjoyed it
I'm wanting to make one out of smoothed out rebar.
It might look ok but won’t be functional. Rebar isn’t hard enough.

I might but I’m getting fed up of doing the same thing over and over, I might just as well upload the same video every week!
