4:56 I would have used fine grit paper like 400, it would have come out even better rather than using the abrasive sponge, the latter does not bring the base to the same level... anyway excellent result! 👍
Thanks for your comment, decided against the polished look as it was deeply scratched sanding it back would have lost a lot of the lettering. As for the breather I could not get that to budge! Maybe I didn’t have my weetabix that day 😅

Looks good but the breather hose spout just twists off.
And the oil filler cap polishes up like chrome with little effort with chrome polish

I managed to get mine apart by mistake as the engine was still warm when I separated them.
Maybe heats the answer.
