The intralogistics supplied by psb includes the automated small parts warehouse as well as the automated pallet warehouse, the conveyor technology, the picking workstations, the consolidation and packing workstations as well as the incoming and outgoing goods. The extensive system technology of the distribution centre is supplemented by the specifically adapted Warehouse Management System of psb. The end customer business and the store delivery require different material flows and different warehouse accesses, which are controlled flexibly and efficiently by the WMS.
The six-aisle fully automated highbay warehouse offers space for 16,500 pallets in double-deep storage and holds the replenishment for the order-picking warehouse ready. Ten AS/RS cranes serve the automated small parts warehouse with 110,000 bin storage locations. The capacities of the automated small parts warehouse are also used for returns handling, which is of particular importance for e-commerce.
While single-stage picking is used for store deliveries, two-stage picking is used for end customer orders. The C and D articles of the respective customer order are retrieved from the automated small parts warehouse and are assigned to the respective order bins at six multi-order picking stations. The orders are then completed in the manual picking area with the A and B fast movers.
psb intralogistics realised the new high-performance logistics centre for Krämer Pferdesport, Europe's market leader for equestrian sports articles with a range of more than 25,000 different articles. This means that end customer orders from more than eight countries as well as the company's own store locations are shipped in parallel through omni-channel distribution.
