Modify your boat at your own risk.
You have helped my 1435 Jon boat build SO much. Thank you. Ill be hopping on that Patreon when I start my 1655 build. I'll need the help!
Man, every time I get ready to start my build you come up with something else for me to consider!!
Looking forward to this one, your content keeps getting Better & Better... Keep it Up!
Can’t wait to see the in-depth framing videos!!
This project sounds insanely awesome!
What a great project. I have been watching your videos getting ideas for my own boat. I found and yes found a 16’ aluminum boat in an old grain truck at the family farm and am making my own mods to the boat as I go to make it more user friendly for myself and family. Thank you for the great videos
Hell, that boat looked great even before you did anything!
It did!
Am I the only one thinking "just hook it up with a couple comfortable seats and a heavy rod rack and go hunt some cats? That's an awesome little boat off the shelf
Sweet I can't wait. Alumacraft is built in my neck of the woods they are one of the best boats built around here.
I am way excited to see this build!
Exited to see the new series on this boat and how in depth it’s going to be!
Killer rig! Great project! I look forward to the continuation.
From what I read as I planned my build, load capacity depends only on displacement. I don't think added foam affects load capacity.
Added foam will float more weight when swamped, thats why the higher capacity. Foam does not add buoyancy in normal conditions.
Looking forward to in depth longer vids-keep it up this looks like a great one. Just got my 17’ landau and looking forward to the project
GREAT JOB GUYS
This is a good project
Cant Wait for the next video !!!
I am just very curious. Does removing the benches weaken the boat?
If you don’t replace them with sufficient supports, then yes
Thank you for the response! If i understood correctly, the support actually comes from the framing of the subfloor. @@TinyBoatNation
I love the Pontoon I pilot’. Awesome move there.
sincerely than you for all of your videos
Just the jack plate already and the trolling motor have made this the best build to come
Super cool!
I bought an 2017 V14 and i am doing a huge project as well. I posted a video about it on my page! really excited to see how this turns out!
What year V14 is that?
Does the floor go all the way into the front V up to the front seat?
Do those square seats open for storage? Seems like older version of the C14 don’t have full floor or open storage; only the V16. I’m looking to get one of these and potentially do some mods over time as well. But as you said, it looks great even stock. Awesome work you guys have done!
@TBN I have the same boat, but from the model year 2007. The hull design looks almost identical as well as the layout of the ribs, but my boat was rated at 15 hp and 825 lbs... It appears to have maybe 6-8 inches more beam and a slightly wider transom, I suppose that would do it?
Excellant. Lets go on a journey
Sooo jealous! I am doing this soon!
I'm following this build.
So what material does Alumacraft make their subfloor out of?
Where did you end up attaching your tilt switch for the cmc tilt plate? I never could find a good place for mine so I just wrapped it in wire wrap and I hold it when I’m driving. I found it easier to control that way.
Oh snaps 😍
Looking good can't wait c more
I was just looking at this exact boat I want to put your kit in
Check us out. Email is at support@tbnation.net if you have any questions.
So is your monster kit all the aluminum pieces cut already and just ready to put together?
I’m looking to do a a build like this, but I want a little bigger, have you seen it’s big brother the v16?
I cant wait for this to be done
I have a V14 with standards bench seats. I’ve been looking for a long time for a video showing how to replace the second seat for additional room. Finally I saw you pull out the seat on this one. Thank you!
Also did I miss the information on how big a motor you use on this one?
Hi - I'm looking to buy the stock boat as my first fishing boat as I like the layout and the floor. Do you know my chance how much the boat weights with simply the boat and floor? Thanks
This is going to be insane
Que tamaño de motor Minnkota me recomiendas para un bote igual al suyo
Gracias
The foam cannot give you extra load capacity. It gives you floating buoyance if you flip it over in the water.
I think it could also add load capacity because it's added rigidity how it's poured into those channels
I was referring to the physical load for buoyancy. You are referring to the structural strength of the boat. You might be right from an engineering standpoint, but anybody out there should err on the side of caution and assume that no relevant load capacity can be added by improving the tiny boat structures.
Moreover, as I've seen, the formulas used to calculate the maximum load legally allowed for a small boat do not have anything to do with the structural strength of the boat (search for that).
@@iBaloo42 sounds good to me. But someone else explains it better in the thread somewhere
The boats sea worthiness is severely compromised when you raise the center of gravity with decking. No way can you walk those decks on a moving lake without falling off. Then removing foam flotation for storage boxes is not safe. If you get caught in windy rough waves and start taking on water in a already over the weight limit boat you’ll last about 2 minutes. Your life jackets are probably still at Walmart. Boats with decking are built that way from a manufacturer and all boats have weight capacity limits with all this in mind. Whew I feel better. 😆
With all do respect, you don’t know what you’re talking about. The process has been repeated countless times by an army of us. You’re a little late to the game.
Since when does foam create buoyancy out of the water?
Are those floor boards heavy?
if you remove the middle seat how are you going to support the side rails ?
Hi I just picked up my Aluma 16’ where are you from? Can you put my floor and box seats in?
Would this be able to handle the ocean?
great boats, here in nc.. maybe everywhere idk 14feet and under boats don't need to be titled. Saves a lot of headache.
how thick is the original flooring , wood i assume?
Can trim tabs be put on a boat like this? I have a v14 LTD and could use some
I have a Heavy Old Lund 2005 WC-16 DLC. . I used 3/4” marine plywood to replace the weak floor. Covered to two front seats with a standing deck with plywood .All in all plywood is too heavy. Wish to lighten up my mass in my boat can you help
Dose it have a 15 or 20 transom and dose it make a big difference
Does anyone know if this v14 has the 15 or 20" transom? I am wondering if you get the v14 with floors and a 15" transom, does it still have the same seating layout as the one in the video (only one full bench at the front and the two storage compartments in the middle?
bro, i love your build I have a bass tracker bass boat that I'm going to restoration
Cant wait
What is the overall length and beam of the hull?
I have an old old alumacraft V14 with so floor in it. It also doesn't have the front seat at the bow where I could rest a floor on the seats. I made a front casting deck out of wood but its very heavy. Could you maybe give me some pointers on how I could put a floor in with aluminum frames and make a casting deck? It has 3 bench seats. I would like to either partially or completely remove the middle seat and remove half of the back seat where I sit just to have leg room and maybe brace the sides together somehow. Is there anyone from your company I could get some pointers from? Thanks! Love your channel btw
I gonna follow this one closely I want all the goodie’s
How thick is the metal on this?
What size is the Yamaha?
I live in Arizona and would be interested in having you modify my boat.
We only do boats out of IL.
This boat company and others are eight months behind in production of boats. If you order one now you can’t get it until March.
I have this boat with the bench seat no floor. Does any one know is the bench seat structural? I would like turn this boat into something more like a escape as we don't have bass where I live. Instead we fish walleye.
Is there any way I can find the entire video series on this one? It’s perfect!
Check my channel. There is an entire series in the playlist section.
The You Tube Channel? FB? I’m also a Patron donor. Thanks!!!
Found it! ruclips.net/video/M6J7YfOG7o8/видео.html
Is that little 14ft boat seriously over 1000 lbs??
👍
🤙🏻🤙🏻
Just with they would sell this boat the v16 without any flooring or benches so I can build it the way I need it for catfishing
How much would it cost for you to deck out my 14 foot Jon boat
5-6k he stated in the past
Tiny Boat Nation I’ll save up
Fuk yea
JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
Double dog dare you to build my 14ft alumacraft lol
JESUS CHRIST IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE!!!!!
Every boat you do is bada..
Why take something apart it's already good
Check out stabicraft 1450
You ruined the stability and safety of that nice boat. Why? Just to get hits on a video?
NOT a good idea man, just saying....
Why not just buy a used real bass boat and not sink money into this pit of zero return on investment?
1. because of pride of building it exactly the way you want with no boundaries. 2. Pride of doing it yourself (of course). 3. Price , this boat with all of those features will still be a fraction of the price of even a used "bass" boat.
@@alexanderramirez9522 Steve is just a dude, leave Steve the Dude alone dude. lol
The return on investment is a badass custom boat that will last year's upon years... there's no such thing as a 14 footer that you can buy that is decked out like a bigger store bought bass boat anyway.
What's the fun in that anyone can do that but it takes a badass
Build it like this Do
