"Like 'Wait in the Truck,' 'JACK' tells a difficult story. However, this time, HARDY’s addressing alcoholism. The lyrics highlight the extreme behavior people that struggle with this addiction exhibit and the consequences they endure. Some of the most intense lines read, 'Don’t listen to mama, hell, I ain’t the devil/Ditch me when you wanna but if you need a little/I can fix your problems, I always got your back/I can make you famous, by the way my name is/Jack.'"
As a recovering alcoholic, this one hits! Great rock song, and the tale of Jack leading him downward is a trail I've walked down, and back up the other side.
Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing that my friend, and congratulations for getting rid of that vice in your life. We appreciate you taking the time to watch our channel. - C -
This is a great song that can appeal to a wide audience. Jack and Coke is usually my go to, but I have had my share of nights go the route of this song. Nice and calm, until the Jack takes over and turns chaotic. But I’m the sense of someone with alcoholism, it cuts deep because it can remind them of what it was like with their family and everything. Specifically with the lyric “rock bottom ain’t so bad when you’re rockin’ with me.” Just a masterful piece of writing by Hardy.
Watch the actual video and you'll get a better understanding of the spiral and descent that alcoholism has on people. BTW congrats on the grandboy ❣️ Grandbabies are great but my grandboy holds a special place in my heart ❤️
Yooo congrats Cedric! That’s awesome. As far as the song goes, this one hits deep. I love a glass a whiskey here and there but I know how it is when it goes overboard. Vibe of the song matches that roller coaster.
Good morning Cedric and Brian!! Congratulations to you, Cedric!! I'm jealous. My daughter 4 years ago at the age of 26. If there's one thing I yearn for, it's grandkids. Hold onto, love, and make lots of memories with any of your family. Tomorrow or even tonight is never promised. And about Jack... It's best straight up. Have a great week!!
Hey guys. I think you whiffed on this one. It's not trying to "be cool" or funny. It's about how Jack destroys your life. It lies to you. It separates you from your friends and family and then, when you're at rock bottom, it mocks you. Maybe listen again and really pay attention. Congrats though, Cedric!
I think yall are a little sensitive on this. Unless you're a bone head you know what and liquor can lead to. The lyrics are simple and i think you are looking a little to introspective into alcoholism. I wish you the best in your fight but its almost a thing when you're younger to get faced and then hate yourself the next day. Not everyone becomes dependant and can enjoy in moderation but also can relate to the lyrics.

The song is like a decent into acoholism. Fun encouraging, to agitated to finally pissed off. He is singing in the perspective of jack talking to you

Thanks for the song. I have been watching a couple of Hardy vids but have not done the album yet. The rock twist makes me want to give him his due.
Hi guys. I don't typically like this kind of music, but I gotta say, I love this song. Thanks for sharing. 😁
