This was 2006 Bone Thugs. This is a very commercial sounding song compared to the rest of their work. If you check out any of their earlier stuff from the Creepin On Ah Come Up, E 1999 Eternal, and Art of War albums you’ll see the difference to this. Not that they didn’t any introspective songs because they most definitely did.
It is so funny watching young people look at those artist we all used to listen to. It promoted the worse but the generation of the 80ls and 90s new how to listen and pick out the good from bad. Reality was not supposed to be the music we listen to. It can share our story for sure but we must overcome.
i made wrong paths as a 14 yr kid and forward on today 45 yr and dealing with addiction, but my passion for music is the drive. We all have bad days on different levels, lets make the good days count and focus forward. the even earlier Bone Thugs n Harmony tunes are cool , keep it up =)
Shout out to you for actually analyzing the lyrics here. Much like a lot of rap, it’s catchy beat that unfortunately has a pretty negative message. “I tried so hard, but I’m a victim and I’m gonna stay posted up on the block.” Like obviously you didn’t try hard enough lol. Great reaction bro, I’ve seen like a dozen ppl react to this song and you’re the first to question the lyrical content . 🫡
I searched and it says you've done this song and crossroads. I'd recommend "1st of tha Month", "I am the King", "Thuggish Ruggish Bone", "Foe tha Love of Money".
I aint gon lie lol bone thugs were boys and as you can see they did rise haha but i digress. Great reaction, I respect your opinions. I just saw an opportunity lol 🫡
I agree with you. But as a bone fan just understand it’s just art, one song out of many hundreds they made. Just one snap shot of one picture they painting of one moment in time!
As long as you're picking up the weights, it's ok to pick up the weed too. However, I will say, that a lot of youngsters today are scrawny weed smokers. Whether you smoke before or after you lift, the main thing is that you hit the weights as well.
I listen to bone for years and years and I’ve never heard that song. Whatever the CD was that had the skulls all over the front was the bomb but I cannot remember what the name of it was. They had changed a bit at this point.

Great Song but not the best intro to Bone Thugs. Next video should be Thuggish Ruggish Bone and then stay on the E. 99 Eternal album.
