In 2002 I went see Wyclef launch his album at Shepherds Bush Empire in London. It's a great venue and I was right at the front. When he dropped this track my girl and I went nuts. Was the first time we'd heard it. We must have been dancing hard, cos Wyclef had up pulled up on stage and we danced with him to this and the next couple of tracks and we had a drink with him after. Feels like yesterday, always love this track, it never gets old! As human being I respect Wyclef cos he's real. He works hard for his country Haiti and loves his people. Respect and Love.

Reflecting on those days, I battled chronic depression and anxiety, often confined to my home due to the fear of encountering threatening gangs. It's astonishing how we evolve and mature. I've transformed from the fearful boy I once was and, while I still avoid conflicts, I no longer dread the vast world. Yet, I remain someone who appreciates solitude.
I do have a girlfriend, but I also wish for a friend who shares my interests. In summary, I'm proud of my personal growth, and I achieved it independently. 😁

I've got a very vivid memory of this song playing when new back in 2001. I was a 16 year old having just left high school. At a bowling alley with friends and after a couple of games we sat in the bar of the bowl getting served alcohol (specifically, neat baileys amongst others) and i remember this track was on.
